Once Shirley finds out about Buster & Kathy that will be the end of Buster and I think he will be written out- Kathy and Buster is not a good fit.

Buster has never really integrated as a character, despite a promising start. Maybe the actor can't commit to it or something? To me, this is the start of a leaving storyline for him.

Shirley will never forgive him or Kathy for such a betrayal. He will leave with his tail between his legs.

It's probably because Shirley is happy right now that that's just not allowed. Same as Jac Naylor in Holby. It pisses me off, big time.

I agree and DTC goes and wrecks a potential Kathy/Shirley Friendship!

I can see Kathy/Buster leading to Buster v Gavin..which may then lead to Busters exit

I assume this is all heading for a Phil and Shirley reunion. I quite like Buster with Kathy. I just wish they'd use him properly.

Buster and Kathy have no chemistry though. Their snog last night was cringy to watch! Their attraction for each other seems to have come from no where.

I don't see it either. They both looked like they were stifling a gag reflex.

I know it's so tedious. Remember Pat coming into EE a complete cow. They did character development in those days. Now it's round and round in circles. If they make Shirley hit the bottle / found in gutter / back crawling to Phil (via a love triangle) I'll lose the will to keep watching this.

I've missed loads of episodes. Has Kathy shagged Phil-Lite? I hope Shirley finds out, dumps him and gets back with Philth. What happened to Gavin?

How many of these axing threads do we need to see?

Who is to say the character won't be around for a while yet?

Buster is a rubbish character anyway. The fact Shirley never mentioned him once in 10 years then suddenly out of no where he has been the love of her life just sums up the retcons that have gone on this era.

This. It's such a shame. I was enjoying their budding friendship.

They'll get over it when Buster leaves.

Every couple seems to be affected by an affair apart from the precious Mick and Linda. Hopefully the new guy has Mick cheat on Linda just to piss off DTC and Danny Dyer.

I'd rather Linda cheated on Mick. The smug know-it-all judgmental prick has it coming

I agree, I think a Buster Kathy pairing would be great. Much better suited than him and Shirley.

Buster seemed like he was going to be a great character when he first arrived. Father of Mick and Dean, and a real rival to Phil Mitchell. It looked like Shirley and Buster could be the new power couple on the Square. But for some reason, it hasn't happened. I don't think the writers know who Buster really is. He's not a well-developed character at all, which I think is disappointing given that the actor is decent.

I don't think he should be axed though. There's loads of potential for him to be reinvigorated as a character.

Yeah I'd rather Linda have the affair. I think she kind of deserves better. Mick is rather self righteous and self pitying. When Linda was raped it was more about his guilt for not protecting her rather than thinking how Linda must be feeling.
