Hi I am trying to leave Sky, and wonder if I buy my own YouView box from a retailer, can I then add the channels available from BT's Entertainment Plus package?
My BT broadband is fast enough on the checker, I have my own box, so all I seek to do is pay them for their extra content.
Does anyone know if this is possible, and any idea of cost? BT's site is a minefield, and they want to do is push you to get their box/postage/activation/etc etc, all ending up about as pricey as Sky.
Thanks.

Looking at the BT site my understanding is that the insist that you have BT Infinity if you want to subscribe to the entertainment plus package. I just tried going through the initial sign-up screens pretending that I had BT broadband but not BT Infinity.

Also as a 'free' BT youview+ recorder (DTR-T2100) is included in the entertainment package that would seam that any reduction in price for not receiving the 'free' unit would need to be individually negotiated.

Thanks for your answer. It would be my understanding too. Although my broadband is fast enough they insist you upgrade to Infinity. Take that plus the upcoming rises, activation, delivery and subscription; they are pence behind Sky.
