Loved her audition but she got it very badly wrong at judges houses. Plus Cowell had a weird obsession with Bupsy and gave her the nod ahead of Jennifer.

If she gets her song choices right, she could be a contender

I agree - I loved her audition, but the judges houses performance really let her down. But as you quite rightly say, it's the song choices that will get her further in the competition as she can really sing.

her main problem last year was trying to hard to conform to the type of artist the show wants by singing chart music rather than what i expect is the type of material she would normally sing

good voice but dont really see her being a good fit for this show

She has a brilliant voice but do agree that the show is about finding a karaoke singer to perform generic pop and thats not what she should be doing.

I could give a list of songs I think she could absolutely kill but 99.9% of the XF viewers would be scratching their heads in bemusement as none of them are by 1D/Ed Sheeran/Whitney/Mariah/Adele etc

Jennifer should be doing gospel sort of music like she did in the audition shackles is a fantastic song! She could also do something by Mary J blige!

I am not normally one for contestants coming back, but in Jennifers case she should have gone much further last year, and only lost out because C wanted joke acts in the final which was ridiculous.

I reckon she would rock this but not sure it's on Cowells radar

Shes great when it comes to songs she can choose herself but she will struggle with the shows silly " themed" weeks.

imo she struggled with song choices last year and didn't make it to the lives where there were themes

in addition the themes last year were so generic that in theory there would have been nothing stopping her singing whatever she wanted.

week 1 - this is me
week 2 - re-invention
week 3 - movies
week 4 - love and heartbreak
week 5 - jukebox & judges choices
week 6 - a song to get me to the final

not one of those themes would have prevented her from doing something soul/gospel. the issue isn't the themes, the issue is the producers picking the songs from a limited back catalogue.

This is true, it's a shame the contestants can't sing exactly what they want, but I suppose they just have to choose from the list.

Absolutely the BIB. Most of the themes could cover almost any song they want to sing but TPTB seem to have a list of around 100 songs which get repeated year after year.
There is no theme that they can't shoehorn Whitney or Mariah into

I hope if she goes through she is given a decent shot, not kicked off at JH again and used for a story/drama (as Annatasia was).
