I liked Max too despite some flaws, he wasn't talentless unlike some of them that year, he just needed some guidance on what type of Music he needed to pursue which obviously he went onto the wrong show for that sort of guidance.
In my opinion my line up would've been this.
Boys:
Mason Noise - The Drake act of the series, blending R&B sounds with Hip-Hop.
Seann Miley Moore - The Powerful vocalist of the Boys, that had a bit of Adam Lambert about himself.
Ben Clark - The Indie Rock act that would've been talented and alternative to the other two Boys.
Girls:
Chloe Paige - She should've had Louisa's role as the young pretty white girl with the powerful voice as she actually could sing, and she had more charisma and an interesting sound with the whole Gospel thing.
Monica Michael - Again like Mason she would've been the R&B fused with Hip-Hop sound type of contestant for this category.
Kiera Weathers - The Subtle singer in an otherwise very loud singing category.
Havva - The out and out Rapper type, she would've been given songs by Eminem, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G etc under my mentorship.
Groups:
Reggie N Bollie - The joke act and the alternative act all in one.
4th Impact - Not my type of singers, but it adds variety to the line up.
Bekln Mile - The Soul balladeers for the Groups.
Overs:
Max Stone - The talented Indie Folk act would've been my style for Max, he would've been singing stuff by Mumford & Sons, Glen Hansard, Newton Faulkner, and less Poppy songs from groups like The Lumineers, and Passenger.
Anton Stephans - The dated but talented Soul singer who would've been given a mix of old and new songs to sing from the soul genre such as Luther Vandross, Gnarls Barkley, Bill Withers, and any Soulful Prince songs.
Ebru - Would've easily been my pick over either of Bupsi or Jennifer who had just too much wrong for me going into the lives.
My line up might not necessarily be to everybody's tastes, but it's a lot more diverse than Simon's very shouty line up that he created.
