Unfortunately SC is only ever looking fr teenage bands because that is all he is gooact. He has no idea what so ever on how to mould a solo act.

why would a 40+ year old who has been in the industry for years need "moulding" ?

In Jennifers case she wouldn't, but it is all about promoting the act in the right way, and as regards solo acts SYC

This is ridiculous. She's not even a good singer. She just screams and shouts. She has no idea how to use her voice. Big voice does not automatically mean you're a good singer. Her first audition was ok at best, but anything after that wasn't anything special, and her six chair challenge performance especially was absolutely horrific...she turned up dressed like a bald clown and murdered the song.

Erm, its just you opinion that she is not a good singer. Those of us that are knowledgeable of good music know that she is.

Really don't see any fuss over Jennifer either. Ebru Ellis was the robbed JH contestant last year. She's someone I would definitely prefer to see back, I still listen to her performance of Photograph.

Of course it's just my opinion...just like it's only your opinion that she's any good. That's the whole point of a forum...for people to post their opinions and debate/discuss. As for you being "knowledgeable about good music", that makes absolutely no sense to your argument as she hasn't even released any music.

I think she was great in her audition but not good after that. I put that down to dreadful song choices and think she is definitely a prime example of someone who is only as good as her song choice and not versatile
I think she could have a very good career as a guest vocalist or session singer in a very specific genre but don't think she's right for XF.

Be careful, we're not allowed to disagree or even debate. Might get told off by the powers that be for having a different opinion!

This for me as well. Ebru should have made it over that absolute snoozefest Max Stone.

I liked Max. Yes, he looked like he could die of boredom at times but he wasn't bad. I wouldn't have put through Anton Stephans. To me he seem way to theatrical and should have been doing west end or panto at Christmas.

I liked Max too despite some flaws, he wasn't talentless unlike some of them that year, he just needed some guidance on what type of Music he needed to pursue which obviously he went onto the wrong show for that sort of guidance.

In my opinion my line up would've been this.

Boys:
Mason Noise - The Drake act of the series, blending R&B sounds with Hip-Hop.

Seann Miley Moore - The Powerful vocalist of the Boys, that had a bit of Adam Lambert about himself.

Ben Clark - The Indie Rock act that would've been talented and alternative to the other two Boys.

Girls:
Chloe Paige - She should've had Louisa's role as the young pretty white girl with the powerful voice as she actually could sing, and she had more charisma and an interesting sound with the whole Gospel thing.

Monica Michael - Again like Mason she would've been the R&B fused with Hip-Hop sound type of contestant for this category.

Kiera Weathers - The Subtle singer in an otherwise very loud singing category.

Havva - The out and out Rapper type, she would've been given songs by Eminem, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G etc under my mentorship.

Groups:
Reggie N Bollie - The joke act and the alternative act all in one.

4th Impact - Not my type of singers, but it adds variety to the line up.

Bekln Mile - The Soul balladeers for the Groups.

Overs:
Max Stone - The talented Indie Folk act would've been my style for Max, he would've been singing stuff by Mumford & Sons, Glen Hansard, Newton Faulkner, and less Poppy songs from groups like The Lumineers, and Passenger.

Anton Stephans - The dated but talented Soul singer who would've been given a mix of old and new songs to sing from the soul genre such as Luther Vandross, Gnarls Barkley, Bill Withers, and any Soulful Prince songs.

Ebru - Would've easily been my pick over either of Bupsi or Jennifer who had just too much wrong for me going into the lives.

My line up might not necessarily be to everybody's tastes, but it's a lot more diverse than Simon's very shouty line up that he created.

Agree about Ebru. She should have gone straight through, along with Havva as well. Both were a lot more interesting than the girls that went through. I thought Louise was just a screamer, and Monica and Keira were rubbish.
