Still no sign of 5 HD on my TalkTalk Huawei Youview box. I understood it should appear at 105. On my box 105 still says BBC Three?

You need to do a retune. BBC 3 is no longer broadcasting.

Do you leave the box in standby overnight? It needs to be to allow it to do the automatic scan to detect channel changes it does as part of its overnight housekeeping.

At what time does it do the scan?
My TalkTalk youview unit updated sometime during the day of launch, Wednesday 4th, without having to wait for any sort of housekeeping. I presume that there was a hidden network event notification broadcast in the lead up to the 4th which would have an associated time against it for the boxes which can handle that sort of event. The few I've 'seen' have had a time of 14:00 and so if your TalkTalk has not done it yet then it unlikely to do it now without intervention.

You can request a retune from the TalkTalk youview's menu. If it gives you a choice of region immediately after the scan then be sure to use the same region as when you list manually initiate a tune. After the retune the TalkTalk youview box will retain your schedule and also keep hidden any channels that you have previously hidden and not yet unhidden.

If you are not sure which region you chose last time then after retuning you will also need to check reception for a few of the channels and check that your schedule does include everything that you are expecting.

To initiate a retune press the blue youview button on your remote and then select 'Settings' followed by 'TV Signal & Quality'. Select 'Re-tune Channels' and press 'OK'. You wail than get a warning that retuning will stop any recordings you currently have in progress. Press 'OK' again to start the scan.

Many thanks everyone for your help. Yes, I had to re-scan manually for 5HD to appear.
