Will Nigel be coming back EE
If you watched Eastenders in the early 90s one person that was really close to the Mitchells was Nigel. He was the only 1 to actually give Grant a punch and tell him some home truths. Plus was quite close to Peggy. Just wonderd if theres any news of him coming back for Peggys funeral.

Peggy often called Nigel her 3rd son. It would nice if they thought of including him in the funeral.

They only have a handful of episodes, it seems a bit much to pack another return in. That's also why I don't think we'll be seeing Mark Jnr and the long-awaited reveal of his existence to the Mitchells. I seem to recall Paul Bradley ruling out a return to EastEnders in the Santer era around the time they brought Clare back.

It all seems very rushed. Even though Dom and Babs both came to the conclusion that Peggy was going to die last autumn/winter. So i don't think he would of been fit in.

Nigel coming back for Dot I can understand, not sure he would make the trip for Peggy.

Pretty sure Bradley was in Holby City at the time of Clare's return so it would have been very difficult for him to return. I know they've recently had Don Gilet doing both but he was very much being underused in Holby for his last year and most of his EE scenes were probably shot in one block as they were all at the Prison. Elliot was very prominent in Holby 2005-2009 so I don't see how he'd have been able to do both at that time.
Nigel was meant to have been close to Peggy so a mention would be nice (they can always say he is on holiday the date of the funeral, it does happen as holidays are booked months in advance whereas funerals, for obvious reasons, can't be) but I think an appearance would be too much to fit in and can just see people moaning that Grant doesn't get enough screen time because they've given some of it to Nigel. |
