Congratulations Strictly!

Hopefully this win will make sure THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T FORCE THEM OUT OF SATURDAY NIGHT slots.

A lot of people seem to think it's fine to call someone too thin, who would probably never call someone too fat. I had a friend at school who ate like a horse but was really thin and people upset her by commenting on it all the time in a way they never would have with an overweight teenager. I don't know if it's the obesity crisis in this country, but some people seem to have forgotten that people can be naturally slim and small boned and still perfectly healthy.

Nobody can win with DM commenters - they call people too thin until they put on weight, then they get called too fat. They have a go at people for ageing, then when they are finally driven to Botox or whatever they are called too plastic. I certainly couldn't handle being a celeb.
BIB Exactly and that's what I worry about.

Kara looked beautiful last night, the material of her dress was exquisite. The Sound of Music live has become an absolute favourite in our house

I used to find Tess REALLY annoying with Bruce - although conversely I did like Bruce. However, I really like her partnership with Claudia and I think that Claudia has brought out a really likeable quality in Tess.

I agree with Craig that it's brilliant to have two female presenters working in partnership on what is now the biggest Saturday night primetime show. Also with the producers comments about Tess and Claudia's chemistry, you can tell they're great mates and it was fab to see them as the representatives of Strictly at the Baftas, getting some recognition for the job they do as well as having a ball!

Tess comes in for a lot of criticism. She makes what she does look easy, it really isn't, look at what happened to Caroline after she returned to the XFactor. Tess, Claudia and then Zoe on ITT are the dream team for me.

Too true Ochre. I thought Graham Norton's dig was pretty mean (and I am a big fan of his). Caroline posted a "meaningful saying" (grrr etc) which brings me back to my boring mantra about social network accounts, leave them to someone else to manage who doesn't have an emotional attachment.

Graham Norton's line was close to the bone, easy to say but she needs to laugh about it though (maybe she has since). The Caroline we saw on Strictly was down to earth, seemed to not take herself too seriously and was able to laugh at herself. I do realise what happened on XFactor was a big career setback and must have been hurtful for her.

Having had a look at her twitter I like that she's posted a red carpet pic along with the caption 'Wearing @halston jumpsuit last night, and I loved it, albeit quite hard to walk in . . . '

I really like Caroline as you know and it is frustrating when she posts emotional and sometimes cringeworthily intimate selfies. It does make her come across as unprofessional at times when I think she is a good presenter full of personality. If I was a celeb I'd definitely have two sets of social media accounts, one personal for family and friends and on privacy lockdown, the other for professional purposes managed by someone else like you suggest Lou.

Ha ha, I read that last part as "managed by you"! I would quite like the job for some people I must admit

I would certainly tell Caroline to count to ten before she puts on some of her soul/body bearing (in equal measure) posts. She doesn't need to do that. She has a genuine talent and is an intelligent and grounded person. I would like to see her in a decent presenting role - I can't stand the X Factor and as for Love Island or whatever it's called She said earlier this week there is a "big reveal" (not literally please Caroline, we don't need to see your knickers again) so hopefully it will be something good!

I'll keep an eye out for news, disappointed in a way she's presenting Love Island again but hoping her radio gig with Gethin is a success.

When I read the saying she posted I felt a little bit sad, maybe it's the way I've interpreted it but I don't believe in holding grudges. I don't know because in interviews she's sounded philosophical about what happened on XFactor so maybe she is cool about it really. It's easy to misinterpret people and get the wrong end of the stick with social media posts isn't it.

Is it ever. She posted a similar message about her ex boyfriend who I think ended the relationship when she was nearing the end of Strictly. She sounded very bitter about him but there are usually two sides to any relationship problems and it wasn't really any of our business. I am a big fan of Caroline's but I do loathe it when she does that kind of thing. I think she deleted that post eventually.
