Vodafone now following RPI

Looks like Vodafone have quietly removed the fixed price promise whilst in the minimum contract and introduced RPI on all new tariffs.

http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/bundl...eals/index.htm

**A monthly allowance of minutes and texts to use exclusively in our inclusive roaming zone (40 European destinations [PDF: 620KB]) without incurring roaming charges. Includes calls and texts to standard UK mobiles and landlines (starting 01, 02 and 03), and to standard mobiles and landlines within the 40 destinations.

Each April, your bundle price will increase by an amount equal to the Retail Price Index (RPI) rate published in March of that year. We’ll publish this rate on our website.

It's unfortunate that this has happened as I believe Vodafone was the last of the major players to not increase contracts every year.

Best thing you can do is avoid contracts whenever possible. What I do is sign up for the usually higher one month contract price, and then cancel and almost always I get a lower than the published contract price offer to stay - still with no contract.

I've recently joined Three on a one month contract with AYCE data and 30GB tethering for £23 per month. If I called them and threatened to leave by asking for my PAC, would they offer me a better deal do you think?

I don't think so, especially you have only been with them go such short time.
