I have had Sky Q for a few weeks now and I have a number of issues, hopefully none of them will be new to you guys and you may even have some fixes...?

1) Every few days my Sky Q silver will completely lose satellite reception, a reboot fixes this. *I hope a software fix is coming for this*
2) Every few minutes on a recording there is a sound drop and fade back in. This doesn't happen on live TV, only recordings. Again, software fix pls.
3) I have Ethernet throughout my house and would prefer the reliability of using this rather than wifi, yet if I connect my Silver via Ethernet, it will not connect to the network properly, preventing my iPad and sky mini boxes connecting to it.
4) Every few days my Sky mini will lose connectivity for a few seconds then get it back again, then a few mins later do the same thing, this happens repeatedly every few mins until a full reset is done. This happens whether I am connected to the silver via wifi or Ethernet.

Some of these issues I can live with, others are slightly frustrating, the last one can make it almost too annoying to watch. Any advice greatly appreciated. Are there engineer menus that may help etc? Thanks in advance.

Don't have Q yet (next week) but I've heard that taking the boxes out of "eco mode" helps a lot.

Again the Q app is failing to connect. I'd have thought it would of been fixed by now but clearly not.

Also i took my box out of eco mode.

I had my first instance of the Sky Q silver box having a lot to do the other night and it didn't go so well. My wife was watching a recording on the silver box and I was watching another on a mini in another room. Meanwhile, the silver box was recording a couple of other shows.

The mini I was watching kept losing its connection to the silver box and it took me ages to get through my 45 minute show because I had to keep rebooting the mini and resetting the connection.

It's almost as if the silver's wifi signal diminished in power when it had a lot to do.

It should work for a while if you reboot the Silver box, but there is a bug (known to Sky, it's been discussed over on the Sky forum) that causes it to lose connection in the way you describe.

Hopefully the next software update, whenever that is, will fix it.

I too have this problem even on live tv. Maybe once every half hour and it is annoying. Have you managed to fix this, and if you have, how did you do it?
