I do remember reading about that issue in America where copies of a Doctor Who episode were interrupted midway by scenes from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I've noticed something similar with the ending of New Earth on DVD. When the episode ends and goes to the credits, you can hear the Werewolf howling. This is where the BBC have taken the 'next time' trailer out. It is present on the Series 2 Volume 2 DVD rather than the Complete Series 2 Box-Set, as the trailers have been left in.
