Can anybody help me switch on my HTC Mini??
the on/off button on the top broke off now there seems to be no way of physically switching it on. i have another phone now, however there are photos/messages i need to retrieve from the htc and no idea how to do this.
the phone still charges, i have plugged it into my computer with usb put my computer does not recognise it at all. i cant get it repaired as they clear all the data from it first. |

I don’t know anything about HTC phones or their construction but with a lot of smartphones the outer case on/off switch is just a pin that presses a micro switch inside the phone and you can access that switch by taking the back off however looking at the two phones I have in front of me now the first one (Moto G) you can’t do that but the other (Huawei Y550) you can.
Sorry can't help much more than that. |

I guess that this is the HTC One Mini or HTC One Mini 2? These are both metal unibody devices so there is no chance of pulling the back off. Ask on XDA developers to see if anyone can help or has already solved this problem:
