To be honest I didn't particularly like that statement either, mainly because I don't agree with it...Robron have never been properly friends, let alone best friends. They went from being strangers to lovers in a secret affair to kinda hating each other to tentatively rebuilding their relationship because of their still-existing feelings for each other. Theirs is not a relationship I would define as two best mates in a relationships.
However, if that's how Danny sees it, more power to him! I won't lose my sleep over it!!
(provided that ED don't use the "best freinds in a relationship" to have them act all matey rather than coupley all the time, in which case I would be bothered)
Robert is officially divorced. Ugh, Lachlan makes me physically ill. Why is he still on the show.
I do think Aaron is Roberts best friend though. His only friend really tbh.

In the past Robron weren't friends I agree.. but since Robert found out that Aaron was abused as a child, I think things massively turned around.. all that support he's given Aaron he wasn't doing as a lover, he was doing it as a friend who happened to be in love with Aaron. They grew very close, Aaron confided & Robert listened/supported & I do believe they built a friendship before they reunited.. Adam is Aarons friend (close friend even tho we never see them together) but Robert is his lover & best friend imo, that one person who knows him best & same for Robert who Aaron knows best. Aarons the only friend Robert has too. There will always be a bond & friendship there weather there together or apart.. I think that statement is lovely.
