Wow, what a pleasant thread. Not sure why some of those posters even watch ED as they seem to dislike it so intensely.

Amusingly, many of those posters were the same ones who used to be very negative about the Christian and Syed storylines. It appears that they get pleasure from writing cr*p about popular gay pairings

ETA: Sorry, I forgot to say goodmorning and thank you for the new thread!

I'd suggest (and please request) that we just ignore this and carry on as (almost) usual in our good old (normally positive) appreciating vein (please!)

That is awful.

Though I voted in that poll, I think it's best that we don't join the discussion. Nothing will be gained by anyone on either side of the love/hate Aaron argument.

I'm not entirely sure what the point of linking to that thread was. Why. Why on a thread where people are fans and enjoy Aaron would there be a thread to Aaron hate thread for people to read? Who wants to see it? I just don't get this even coming up, especially being linked to and asked to have a look.

It is always worth knowing what other people are saying, and I think it is indicative that they single out a gay storyline (one or two of the names on that thread are past offenders). I think the relationship between Bailey and Belle is more unlikely given his position and her age and the forthcoming relationship between Rhona and Pierce is also odd.

Sorry if I have earned your disapproval, but you can't just hide from things you don't like.

I agree with the point you make about a gay storyline. I'm appalled and saddened by the reactions of many DS Soap Forum regulars.

Whilst I think that no useful purpose will be served in joining those type of discussions, I think it is important for us to be aware of what is going on around us

I don't think we need to be made ware of what's going on around us at all. If we want to we can see that ourselves. This thread is for fans to come and discuss the characters/story we like, not to be told about and directed to the hate from every other corner going on. We can actually ignore things we don't like, that's why people are in here and not in a normal main forum soap thread, as this is where there are fans and not haters and nasty comments. That;s the whole point if this thread. To not see or be part of that.

Thanks Eddie: Exactly!. That was the main point. Elsewhere on DS they have linked to a Sun story (always a bastion of tolerance and understanding!)about the viewers reaction to a story in Eastenders concerning the character "Jay". Of course they can;'t edit out the contents of readers remarks, and one or two refer not to the "Jay" story, but to the non-related story of "Ben" another gay character, who played no part in the story they reported.

They sometimes wonder why some gay people chose to remain private about their proclivities -articles like the Sun one, and the thread I referenced should make this clear - I am just sorry a few readers are so myopic

The thread is highly visible on the main forum, no need at all to make it more so by posting on here, especially many of us (me) avoid the main forum because we don't want to see or know about the nastiness aimed at Aaron and Danny.

This is our happy place

I'm not expecting much tonight. There's no point building it up. From the sounds of it things will be worked out to a point but i don't want to get any hopes up it's going to be anything amazing. Especially since it's Edna's funeral which is bound to take up 80% of the ep as it's such a big deal. Hopefully we can end the week on a relatively positive note though.

Good morning

Ready for today.

Regarding the main forum thread, i Will never go back there.

I had my lesson a couple of months ago.

It is pointless to go there.

Hiya Folks

Thought I'd set up a new thread that included Aaron's name change!

Yup, Aaron Livesy is no more! Welcome Aaron Dingle!!

Continuation of: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2144042
Thanks Marianne x exactly the right moment

I haven't watched eps yet as was at ESC party last night but sadly my country did not go through anyway I'm gonna watch them back to back now and will surely have a few comments then

I've had a quick look on here already and it certainly seems that loads happened last night and as for people on another thread, well the story obvs moved them so much that they have posted so much about it. That clearly means that they think there were brilliant award winning performances from those involved. What more could any actor ask for

I see someone has started a poll on the main forum asking if there is an overload of Aaron at the moment. Get voting.

Hi all. I'm hoping we get some sort of line drawn tonight to put the past in the past, so Aaron and Robert plus Chas and Cain don't keep bringing up what Robert's done. They need to do this to move forward which we know they do. I'm not bothered about hugs, kisses and ILY's as long as they move forward trusting one another

The other concern is the fact Liv knows Robert has killed someone else and will this be a driving force to Rob out of Aaron's life.

Sssush....... I mentioned that and it didn't go down well. Chastened and rebuked as I am, I will be working in the shop for most of today, so I am unlikely to be upsetting many applecarts today. I have to say, though, that two posters in particular on the forbidden MF poll seem to have very unpleasant minds....

Which part?

No, I just mean that i tonight that they have a good long talk where they agree that they trust each other and they don't keep chucking past events in each other's face.

I think that all of the recent distance between Aaron and Robert has been on purpose to lead to the events of the next three episodes.

Really enjoyed Liv last night and who can blame her for calling the police after what she heard.

There hasn't been a overload of Aaron recently. He's been in it no more than several other characters, probably less so. There have been overloads of characters before over the last few years but one of them has never been Aaron since his return.

Liv doesn't actually 'know' it, she's just heard others voicing their thoughts. It's hearsay, not evidence. The worst that could happen would be the police looking at the evidence again, and I don't see much coming from that.

The only person who actually knows what happened is Robert. There's no doubt that Robert is guilty of the manslaughter of Katie by an unlawful act, but however the police would prove it beyond reasonable doubt, unless he confessed, I just do not know.

I think what tink means is that in soaps when people form a grudge they tend to keep going with it. Liv might not just accept Robert hasn't done anything now regardless of whether it's proven suicide with Gordon's death.

Look at Chas and Paddy being like dogs with a bone trying to keep Robert away from Aaron last year.
