Thanks for linking Eddy. No Robron but they'll be around next week at some points so it's not all bad.

I reported her also and blocked her also. I wasn't following her, but I didn't want to take any chance.

I do watch every night as i love Emmerdale but it has been a bit dire some episodes. Highlight of last night was Megan pulling Jai to shreds infront of his prospective wife

I agree it was hilarious.

Loved the Ashley thing also with Arthur

But I could have done without Rhona and Creepy Pierce lol

You can understand why a lot of people don't use Twitter - that example reminds you of the junior school playground.

Aside from the fact it's not been that interesting this week, it's been really maudlin and miserable .

David's cancer buddy dying for example. Why? We all know cancer sucks, everyone in the village knows that too as various characters have had it. Edna died of it, Diane recently had it, Gordon had it but hung himself in prison... Did they REALLY need to kill off a character who'd been in like 3 episodes?

Ashley's story is another that is dangerously veering into Aaron territory, misery for misery's sake.....Yeah guy has dementia at a young age so let's show how 'dangerous' to his kids he is.

It has been a very humdrum week - I didn't record last nights episodes and I won't again tonight, but I don't feel I am missing anything by what I have read here - Chrissie in a milk-maids uniform? She must think it is 1916!

totally agree.

I may not have liked the direction of where our boys were going but when they are not on screen it makes a very boring show and that is from an avid viewer of this show for 20 plus years!!! Just shows the dynamics they have.....

I totally agree with this. It was wrong on all sorts of levels. bronchopneumonia is often called the sick mans friend as it can strike quickly, but I don't think overnight in a teenage lad, the character was a bright positive lad, and deserved to be better known for the viewers to take more interest in Dylan, even if this was the final outcome. It could also frighten viewers embarking on chemotherapy therapy as you can get similar symptoms especially near the start of treatment.

One subtle move they did well, and struck a chord with me, is that Jacob becomes obsessed with cleaning. I know as a young lad, if my mum had seen a cancer patient, I would go around with Dettol on everything she touched (door handles etc). It used to annoy her, but when you are 14 you are inclined to fear you can "catch" anything, so they have done well there. I hope somebody reassures him, but not David as it would be so hurtful to him.

Yeah I also love Emmerdale and have watched for years too but there are some stories just now that are very miserable or ott silly and if I have been busy then I just haven't felt like watching or recording it quite a few times recently

I did find that totally unnecessary-they are obviously trying to show the stark reality etc but it was kind of out of sorts with the story at that exact time.In my opinion they should have just had it as it was-David getting his treatment, the worry, anxiety, seeing the other patients etc. There was no need to introduce that poor young boy and then him passing away at that time.I do like the Ashley story and think john is playing it very well but yeah the danger to his kids thing is a bit unnecessary, although they will say it's realistic and they're just showing that
