I totally agree with this. It was wrong on all sorts of levels. bronchopneumonia is often called the sick mans friend as it can strike quickly, but I don't think overnight in a teenage lad, the character was a bright positive lad, and deserved to be better known for the viewers to take more interest in Dylan, even if this was the final outcome. It could also frighten viewers embarking on chemotherapy therapy as you can get similar symptoms especially near the start of treatment.

One subtle move they did well, and struck a chord with me, is that Jacob becomes obsessed with cleaning. I know as a young lad, if my mum had seen a cancer patient, I would go around with Dettol on everything she touched (door handles etc). It used to annoy her, but when you are 14 you are inclined to fear you can "catch" anything, so they have done well there. I hope somebody reassures him, but not David as it would be so hurtful to him.
I think it will also be Jacob trying to keep things clean so that David doesn't get any infections with his immune system being down.Jacob will be worrying about that after seeing the young lad

I thought that the Jacob stuff was to do with OCD? looking at how he reacted when David dropped pizza toppings and the way he used his shirt to pick up Vanessa's baby bottle?

Yeah it is but it is likely to be because he is worried he will catch a disease or worried that David picks up an infection so his cleaning thing will be becoming obsessive. It could even be that he is so worried and stressed, that this is just something he can control where everything else seems out of his control

I think its because if he caught a cold from someone he could potentially give it to David. I think the cleaning thing initially is because he's trying to take care of David but it will lead into it becoming an obsession.

Ah yeah, I hadn't considered a trigger outside of David simply having cancer! I'm actually really enjoying this s/l now though, especially since they've stopped using it as an excuse to the him naked, not that i was complaining too much anyway

I think it's a very believable and honest portrayal atm

I just checked it out now. That troll mentioned is totally obsessed with Danny & that person's whole a/c is just slagging & hurling insults at him. I really don't get it!! Are they hoping Danny tweets them & tells them to p*ss off & they just want the attention!! Ridiculous!! Glad Danny can laugh it off. He's lovely & I don't get the hate at all!!

I'm glad Danny is not letting this person upset him, the whole account is dedicated to hurling insults at him & his fans about him rather pathetic hopefully if enough people report it twitter will suspend the account although they could make another but hopefully they'll get the message & 'do one'.

Best wishes Marianne.

I love Danny's response.....I call it the Katie Hopkins syndrome....Don't feed the troll and they will die (or get bored....!)

My thoughts are with you Marianne.

I'm sorry to hear what you're going through Marianne

That girl is hilarious. She calls Danny 'horrible' when she's saying nothing but vile things about him! Even replied to someone 'how is it bullying' lol At least they like Ryan though....

It's things like this I'm glad Ryan hasn't got Twitter. I'm glad Danny isn't letting it upset him.

Thanks again for the messages lovelies!! xx

I'm glad Danny can laugh off stuff like that. I'm not even convinced the troll really hates Danny, sounds to me like she just likes trying to wind people up & get a reaction. Sad person really!! Everyone who I've heard from who have met Danny says he's lovely & has time for his fans. I don't get why people like the troll get off trying to upset others.

Looks like another has set up too. Probably same person so have reported. Think they are a Kieron supporter, surprising seen as its so close to the BSA's, seems like they may be worried their favourite wont win
