Where is Hells Kitchen? Is it a TV set or is it a real restaurant?

Brick Lane in London's East End. It's not a real restaurant as you can't ring and book a table. After tonight, it will be no more, so I suppose you could say it's just a set.

it used to be an abbatoir or similar i think. my mate lives just round the corner and hadn't a lue why it was all lit up

incidentally, some of the best food i've ever eaten on a regular basis is down brick lane - bagel bakers

There have been several references to it being a converted brewery throughout the series. I've always assumed it was in the defunct Truman Hanbury Buxton "Black Eagle Brewery".

The Hells Kitchen is/was in the Truman brewery on Brick Lane, its the same venue as last years show but with a totally different "set" Its usually a large gallery exhibition space which housed Gunther van Hagens "Bodyworks"
The only slightly recognisable bit are the back stairs everything else is built - Kitchens, restaurant, bedrooms, larders, garden, showers,
Its the same designer that usually does Big Brother.
