I've got the double-bill opener recorded but still to watch.
Season 1 was tremendous, very gritty and intense. Subtitles don't bother me at all |

Thought the first series was immense, not stated series 2 yet.

Why are such basic errors still being made? |

They do when they are too small and without a black border making them impossible to read on a bright background as in episode 2.
Why are such basic errors still being made? They were fine in the first episode, but in the second they seem to have shrunk and lost the black outline. Some of the words were completely illegible. I hope they saw how horrible it looks and put it right. Other than that, excellent show.

Caught up with it.
Liked the father/son special, something different. The massacre in Germany was obviously based on The Duisburg Massacre: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Lu...sburg_massacre This show certainly doesn't gol the traditional route of having someone to route for, Genny and Ciro still competing as to who can be the most evil scumbag. |

Sad to see the demise of Don Ponytail and his naughty outfits.

This, along with Billions, is some of the best drama on Sky.

Tremendous stuff, expect the unexpected.
Ironic that Conte, who surrounded himself with religious imagery, drew his last breath in the church. Shame that we won't see him anymore, all about Genny and Ciro now, although old man Don Pietro still one step ahead of the game. |

That was hell of a twist at the end of episode four - good to see the subbtitles back to being readable

I love this series. Being set in a Mafia stronghold estate adds to its drama and darkness. I would easily compare this to the Sopranos. It is SO bleak and realistic.

It's definitely not the tourist side of Italy.
Thankfully not quite as violent as the last series but I did find myself worrying about lioness tattoo girl and her siblings. I haven't read the book this series was based on but have read "Cosa Nostra: A History of the Sicilian Mafia" by John Dickie which although about the Mafia and not the Camorra it did give me an bigger understanding of what goes on over there and is a great read. |

Just one expression. But the menace in that expression.
I'm hoping he's a big part to play as the series moved on but in reality he's probably the most wanted man in the country so he can't exactly be a presence in the streets |

Yesterday I accidentally found the book on my shelf, forgot I bought it, will have to give it a read.
Pietro is going to end up shagging lioness no doubt. |

With this I get the feeling that this is fairly close to reality. Incredibly bleak with little or no humour, but each second is utterly compelling. Bloody brilliant !

I think the film was probably more realistic.
