Annoying ding...

Hi all,

I need some advice/help for the following please.
I have one of these... http://www.tesco.com/direct/samsung-...g&gclsrc=aw.ds ....connected to one of these... http://www.electricshop.com/bose-sol...kaGwodDqcP6g#b ...using the optical connections from the tv to the box.Every now and again(sometimes quite often)I get a "ding" type sound out of the speakers. It doesn't matter what I am watching... Freeview, cable TV or another source...it happens. If you can imagine the sound of a nail falling on to a piece of glass, that is what it sort of sounds like.If I connect the Bose box to the TV using the red and white leads(analogue)from the earphone socket on the TV to the two ports on the Bose box I don't suffer from the ding. This is obviously caused by the TV but no matter what I change the TV settings to it doesn't stop it when using optical. The sound quality using the analogue way isn't as good as optical so it's really not an option for me.Can anyone help or advise please? Thank you.

You haven't proved it's the TV, it could just as easily be the Bose as well - you need another TV with optical out to try, see if that does it as well.

If you can hear any difference (particularly with Bose), then you have a problem somewhere, the analogue connection should be just as good in practice.

He was disappointing in the final against Selby but it's a bit harsh to call him annoying.

Unless you had a bet on him winning.
