We've been watching Locked Up on All4. Glad we continued with it, we've really enjoyed it. At times it is like a black comedy, you have to suspend belief, and other times it is quite bizarre, but on the whole, it's entertaining so glad we continued with it. We've only got a couple of episodes to go, so hope it won't have a satisfactory ending.

I dont think you understand personal opinions and your post makes no sense
You posted it would get no audience because you "cant imagine audience would stick with so many foreign shows." So I can only assume you think television is targeted at you.

Otherwise the fact you are posting it in response to people saying they did want to watch would be evidence that your imagination is wrong and there is an audience.

But you also dismissed those who have different interests to your imagination as "obsessives," so do not expect such arrogance to be treated respectfully just because it is "personal opinions."

I didnt say schedules should be designed to suit me so you are wrong. i didnt say i couldnt imagine people wanting to watch more than two subtitled shows so wrong again.

What i did say was more4 probably decided to not schedule them because the viewing figures would be too low or they would have to pay extra to show on tv.

Obsessives isnt an insult and isnt arrogant to use such a word. Im obsessed with several things. Also because a couple of people on here want to see something doesnt mean it has an audience on more4.

I am beaten, there is nothing whatsoever worth watching on the 100 tv channels at the moment, quite amazing that, so I will be watching this on my noisy pc with feedback on the speakers buzzing like crazy. Five min web ads, buffering, buzzing, what fun.

It doesnt!

I binge watched all 16 episodes in a couple of nights (late ones granted), i was hooked on it.

Desperate to watch season 2 but although its available to watch in the wild of the internet i cant for the life of me find any English subs to go with it

Is there anyone who's watched the whole first series of Locked Up? I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you thought about the series as a whole, good or not? Worth watching? On a par with the Euro stuff we get on BBC4 and More4? Would you watch series 2?

Channel 4 are pulling the same bait-and-switch trick again!

http://www.radiotimes.com/tv-program...es-1-episode-1

The first episode of Polish series The Border will shown on C4 on Tuesday at 10pm but the rest of the series will be stuck away on All4.

Utter contempt for the viewer, I won't be bothering with the first episode this time.

Yep, me neither. I posted a week ago that I had given in and was going to watch Locked Up on my noisy, buzzy PC. Still have not got around to it.

Channel 4 have no idea just how many people will never remember or bother to watch these online only series.

I'm up to episode 9 of this and really enjoying it but I just checked IMDB tonight and now I'm confused. It shows there have been two series so far- the first with 11 episodes and the second with 13 episodes- but for some reason Walter Presents currently offers 16. You would think it would be either one or both series in full and not something in between so what has happened to the other eight episodes and are they likely to turn up eventually? I'm a little reluctant to carry on investing my time if there's a chance I'm going to be left high and dry.

The full series one - 16 episodes - is on All 4. IMDB must have wrong info.

I watched to the end and I really really liked it, and so I had been looking forward to seeing series 2 which has just finished on Spanish tv, but it's not on All 4, so I contacted them to inquire when it'd be available and was told they have no plans at present to make it available See usual polite dont-bother-us-again reply below!:

Thank you for contacting Channel 4 Viewer Enquiries regarding LOCKED UP.

We appreciate you taking the time to write to us with your interest in the second series. Unfortunately we do not have any information relating to this programme, however, we will forward on your interest in a further series. Our schedules are only confirmed 2 weeks in advance and any time after this is subject to change.

Pleased be assured that your comments and suggestions have been logged and noted for the attention of those responsible.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us here at Channel 4 and for your interest in our programming.

What's the point of showing one episode on tv just to get people to watch online, and then once they've got people watching online, they don't bother with a second series?

If anyone has got a link where I could watch S2 with english subtitles, I'd really appreciate it, or if not, and if you enjoyed S1, please contact All 4 to inquire about a second series. Maybe if they get enough interest, they'll make it available...even if it is only online!

I did some digging after I wrote that post and discovered that the version sold for International distribution was cut into smaller chunks than originally aired (hence the difference in episode numbers) and confusingly also some scenes were actually cut or re-arranged. As for series 2, Walter Presents have confirmed several times on their Twitter account that it will air here 'early 2017'.

Thank you for this. 2017 is better than nothing I guess. It's surprising that nobody on their Twitter account let the people doing the email replies know though, so I'm not sure I'm convinced. In the meantime, I think I'll carry on searching the net to see if I can root out an English-subtitled version of the second series just in case! If I have any luck, I'll let all you fellow Locked Up fans know
