who thought the sea devils were cute?

just finished watching the sea devils six parter and loved the sea devils.

I always thought it was adorable when the Master was watching the Clangers and thought they were a real alien species.

Yes, apparently soon after it was screened in the UK (around March '72) cloth retailers couldn't keep up with the demand for string vests and were scratching their heads as to why. There's a growing body of evidence now to support that this show (and of course The Sea Devils attire) played no small part here in the string vest becoming a 70's fashion icon.
