Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the eighth live show of The Voice Idol Factor (series 2)!

On the previous live show, more like yesterday, nine acts face the stage one more time to perform Movie Soundtracks. Some top contenders faced a criticisms from our panel, and some underdogs gained praises. But it wasn't long till Jess & Matt and Samantha Jade faced the bottom two sing-off. Not only that Samantha Jade was in the bottom two that made last night's show a shocker, but one of them is Nicolas' decision to send home his own act in favor of Samantha Jade. In the end, Jess & Matt lost their place in the competition and finished in 9th Place.

Tonight, the top 8 are ready to perform Collaborations to win your votes. A lot of pressure is under our top 8 now, as this do or die performance will be the key for them to make it to the live Quarterfinals. Don't worry though, these eight have what it takes to easily exceed those. The two acts with the fewest public votes tonight will face each other in the final sing-off of the series, battling it out for a place in this Tuesday's quarterfinal.

Well, good thing we're three here right now, I hope Nic and Lewis catches up when they come by. Well, let's start.

That is how you start a show, well you know how to end a show really well and now you started the show even way better. I wonder if there's still something you couldn't do. And I still don't know how you landed in that sing-off. Well that's already in the past, and now you're here to win it. Well done!

Samantha Jade, that was just wonderful. I think you should thank for that bottom two appearance because in a way it helped you because you did a lot better than you usually are. Aside from that, I love that you changed the dynamics of the song a little bit but that did not change the quality of the song, so great job Samantha!

As much as I agree with the rest of your comments, I just have to disagree with the one where you said Samantha should thank for her bottom two appearance, because actually based on last night's performance alone, she was actually one of the standouts.

Emily Middlemas, that was done excellently Emily. From the execution of the song and how to made it your own, honestly seeing how good the show starts, I'm not sure how we are going to end it tonight as the talent seem to be way above average.

Emily Middlemas! I like how you did it your own and you placed a touch on the song that made it way different from the Alicia Keys original. The transformation done to you this week was great, but I felt something was lost. It didn't feel you. The acoustic Emily we love. But I'm sure it isn't something worth the bottom two.

Yes, she was good enough last night. But that was the public's decision, it was the public vote placed her on that situation. Well what I mean is, she should thank her bottom two experience because it made her more better this time.

Quick Announcement
The producer (No, it's just me) decided to make this show, Live show 7, the Quarterfinal show and make it a double elimination instead. This is to give the judges a long thinking on the song choices for the Week Long Semifinals.

So, Double Elimination today and no more Tuesday show. Now we will continue.
