I have always been a fan of Emmerdale farms, the rolling hills of yorkshire etc. even the most recent HD ones have slowly grown on me

but now what I think I like the most is eastenders barely changed titles

I know it wasnt popular but i lived the 1993 jazzy theme for eastenders. I wish it was used more often. It was a good mix from the deadpan drum beat.

Coronation Street's 1990 title sequence, with the dog running up the street.

I know it's unpopular but.. I love the Jazz EastEnders theme xD the background for EE is also so iconic.

Soap!

It was a parody of American soap-opera and featured a young Billy Crystal as a gay character.

Bloody cheek!

I was a young child and I remember never having seen anything like it before (my Mam and Dad watched the show)!

Not sure when it was shown here - early '80's - or on what side for that matter?

Does anyone know?

I've chosen my favourites...

Coronation Street 1975-1982
I love the shots of the back streets of Salford, ending with us on the Street.

Emmerdale 2005-2011
Possibly the best title sequence around. It baffles me why they got rid of it, it's gorgeous. Showing off proudly the Yorkshire Dales, it fits with the orchestral theme beautifully, the crescendo at the end as we reach Emmerdale packs such a punch.

EastEnders 1993
It was so different and has such a character. It could possibly have really shaped the show's direction had it not been pulled. However, the revamp after this one stayed true to it's roots and I'd list that as my other favourite.

Hollyoaks 2010
The show took a long while to find a sequence that works, but they got it down perfectly a few years ago. The first version of the current titles feels so fresh, and gives the show an identity the others before it didn't. Let's not even talk about the 2007 children's theme.

Neighbours 2010-2013
Such feel good titles introduced in 2010. I think possibly today's theme is better, but I don't think the images have been beaten yet. No marks to either for not having the original title design, though today's is a step in the right direction.

Home and Away 2004-2006
Another feel good title sequence. Bright, happy and put you in right in the mood to watch Home and Away. It's a travesty this great theme never gets played anymore.

Family Affairs
The tune never sounded better, and the tour around London was such a different take than anything EastEnders had. It was, at the time, so up to date. Like the ITV shows I also loved how it ended on Stanley Street.

Crossroads
When a few bars of a signature tune is enough. It's a stroke of sheer genius. It's like a little welcome back every day.

Brookside
The most iconic version of the theme.

I think Emmerdale's sweeping Yorkshire dales are my favourite overall.

The Coronation Street titles of the 1976-89 period and the Emmerdale Farm ones from 1975-89. Both had a romance that I feel all subsequent changes have lacked.
