Oh joy - a Danish song to go into the pot for the UK. Just what I crave

I thought You're Not Alone was just about as Danish as I find palatable, but MDF leaves me cold

One of the good oldies in this playlist. Sadly, weedy has taken a break this heat.

13th Place - 52 Points
Only_You The Seekers - I'll Never Find Another You

12 - thms, sbrum1984
10 - Drew Peacock
8 -
7 -
6 - Jaccobabe
5 -
4 - big bro geek, Steven_P
3 - TerryP
2 -
1 - brb
I was a little boy when this was released and this was an outstanding remix

"The Seekers first hit single, recorded at Abbey Road studios in London. Originally in mono, I've created a true stereo mix using similar techniques to the studio remixing used on The Beatles' 'Love' album. The video has been enhanced to play at the correct speed and in widescreen."

Saara was just on Lorraine on ITV, I think she came off as funny and quirky - but the forums haven't been particularly kind to her this weekend!

You mean M to the O to the T to the O to the W to the N, I say Honey you say G?
Pretty much. She won't do Motown, she'll just take a song and completely murder it. I must admit, her performance was great fun though. Especially when placed after all that dirge. Killing me softly, indeed. Simon got that one right.

According to Emmilie De Forest herself she is writing songs for the UK: You Decide.

This is an interesting development.
Oh, great! I like all of Emellie's songs, Never Alone included. Let's hope something comes out of it. Saying that, even if we did get one of her songs in the shortlist, we wouldn't choose it anyway.

I instantly felt sorry for you Anne. I know how much you love those Danes.

She was very sweet! I still think we'll be lucky to get her past next week though. She's a goner.

I do wonder why any songwriter would really want to submit their song to the UK selection. The BBC is guaranteed to spend no money on the song or performance and it's not going to achieve any level of success from appearing in the selection show.

The one positive, I guess, is lack of competition. If your song has a hint of production quality it'll probably get shortlisted. (Incidentally, the song from BASCA is probably guaranteed a spot judging by this year's turd.)

If there's a song writing camp in Denmark for the UK entry then they must be really going for it

Hugh Goldsmith did say his big plan was to have songwriting camps this year, the fact they've got EmdF involved is encouraging. Approaching respected Swedish writers has worked for so many countries that we might as well go Danish and see how it works out.

Loving the rumours of Helena returning for Greece too.

Was the Danish one just for Danes or do we think there could be Swedes Norwegians or other nationalities there

I will open a Eurovision themed contest tomorrow at some point then. I'm off to work now and won't be back on here until late tonight but wanted to throw down a few suggestions for this weeks theme.

Best song by a trio/4 piece group.
Best song by a deceased singer(Too morbid?)
Best entry scoring only single figures in a final

Or if all else fails another round of Best of the 70's or 80's or 90 's.

Have a good think and spout preferences on here or to me privately if you wish.

Could somebody post a link to our wiki page please.

I'd love something NF related as it feels like a while since we've had one of those, but it's totes up to you.

I was thinking we could do a best talent show performance at some point, but again, that's one I'm happy to host in a few weeks!

I'd heard about it but not seen it, thanks so much for the link! I needed to watch it to see if his eyebrows were on fleek, but sadly it was just his sneakers...and being a god rather than a goddess just didn't sit right with me

Gutted that SVT geo-blocked Allsang this summer, I always find it a great come down from Eurovision and watching the odd clip on you tube ain't the same
dotvpn will sort that out. Install to chrome

Welcome to the contest to find the weirdest Eurovision moment of all time. Here are the entries you have selected:

1. Gobshitegate (2014)
2. The Riga Beaver (2016)
3. Sir Terry gets a bit mixed up (2007)
4. Jimmy Jump's stage invasion (2010)
5. Manic woman stops clapping (1971)
6. Silvia Night goes crazy (2006)
7. The birth of Lynda Woodruff (2012)
8. Andreas Kummert turns down Eurovision (2015)
9. Spain's inexplicably sinister Eurovision interval act (1969)
10. Eesti Laul's plasticine postcard (2014)
11. Katrina preaching and the mesmeric audience (2016)
12. Kaleidoscopes and stethoscopes in the Israeli national final (1981)
13. Switzerland's Eurovision interval act, with Guy Tell (1989)
14. Greece and Cyprus fail to exchange 12s (2015)
15. John Cobra at the Spanish national final (2010)
16. The Polish mermaid (2016)
17. "I bet it's 69 69 69" (2006)
18. Dana International stacks it (1999)

PLAYLIST

Within the entry list, we have one special guest entry, think of it like a secret Justin Timberlake, it won't count towards the ultimate FM points but I won't reveal which one it is for now, all will be revealed on results night.

Please vote in the traditional Eurovision fashion with points from 12 down to 1, voting closes on Sunday at 5pm. Good luck everyone!
What no Riverdance? Damn, i got busy in the week and thought about that one but never made it back in here in time.

She was amazing in the sing off and her Frozen song , so glad she made it through. I think the whole *from Finland * bit is a tad cringy but over all she comes across as lovely. she may just be a great performer but when interviewed maybe be a little nervous or self aware when having to speak in English as its not her native language. She is a bit childlike at times but hopefully she will learn from last week and be more confident. For me she is one fo the best on there this time. Id love to see her do well. Maybe she is suited more to musical theater because her voice is powerful and stands out but she is such an all rounder. Like her a lot.

Apart from Honey G I think she and Saara are the only ones with any personality.

The two *tinfoil tossers* were quite rude and sour grapes afterwards about her. Bad form , shows them up for what they are.

Freddy to go next week , he was dreadful and i thought when he got up and starting lalala ing he'd forgotten the words painful to watch. Not keen on anyone else there really. Honey G i feel is amusing (not a winner) and will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Not keen on Emily or Sam.

Really? I watched every Avsnitt on SVT catchup, but I gave up on the Eftersnacks after watching a couple as they were boring. (Excuse my Swedish spelling )
Maybe its my antique PC running XP and Google Chrome?

Not so many Eurovision artists this year so the guests were a bit disappointing, but Sanna was an excellent host.

I'd like something NF based as well, since the only NF one we've done this year was the main rejects round.
