Kelly Clarkson - Oh Keith, you're such a wet blanket.
Upbeat Kelly only for me.Loic Nottet - Everyone seems to be raving over this on twitter? Don't get the fuss, it's nowhere near Rhythm Inside. Morat - I only stayed with it for the accordion. What's with the random rant in the middle? Sam Hunt - I was expecting a rave at this house party, not line dancing... Ruth Lorenzo - The dancer needs to lay off the blue smarties. Can't go wrong with a bit of Ruth. <3 Fuel Fandango - I never saw the fuss over this shouty, hodgepodge of styles when it was in DSFE. Carlos Vives, Shakira - Shakira, Shakira! Thought this might make an appearance. It's a lot better if you zone out the other chap. Michelle Treacy - Love the production, this is good. The local haberdashery to that shoot must've made a killing that day. Turkiss - Unless you've been lumbered with Azerbaijan in DSFE there's no reason to be willingly raiding the Baku Music Factory. ![]() Eddi Reader - A bit risque for VH1. Next... The Travelling Wilburys - Someone been raiding their vinyl collection again? Sigma feat. Birdy - About time she found some dance beats! ![]() All Saints - A pity their comeback went virtually unknown, they've still got it. Julie Bergan - Still not bored of this yet. Julie needs to return to MGP. The 1975 - A bit of a toe-tapper for saying it's not normally my bag. Maty Noyes - I can cross this off my list then. There's a catchy familiarity about it. Creedence Clearwater Revival - I'm so over this song, it's used in that many ads, films, video games, etc. Pentatonix - Knew this would appear. A Pentatonix Christmas is my idea of hell. Giorgia ft Alicia Keys - Zzzz... Ira Losco - Not listened to this in a while. A good palete cleanser after the last few dirges. JoJo - JoJo should be way more successful than she is, this is great. ![]() Frank Wilson - No. |

So just doing my votes for the Fantasy... Damn I was hoping I would be able to get through life without having to listen to that Bicycle song!
![]() And what happened in the first song? What on earth is she crying for... I mean it's not great but the song isn't THAT bad? Does she think it will make us feel sorry for her? |

The songs about how her father walked out on her and didn't want to know her until she was famous and on Idol and how her husband will be with her daughter, the proper version is quite lively for some reason

The Weedy Review
Kelly Clarkson – Got bored 30 seconds in. Some chubby female whining. Next. Noic Lottet – Got bored 30 seconds in. Some fit bloke whining. Black and white video. Doomed. Flash White Dog Advert – Yes! Best song yet. Watched all the way through. My 12 pointer. Or 12 labradoodle. Morat – Short bloke plays accordion. Therefore is Drews entry, QED. Must give this dull football chant song performed by an extended mariachi band a token point. Sam Hunt – Is this a Bart Simpson joke? No, that’s Mike. Countryfied happy but pointless tune. Probably good for line dancing. Ruth Lorenzo – Has Ruth gone red? No its just some messy flame-haired dancer. Standard dull wail, and Ruth has to be in the video for me to watch it. Moving swiftly on… Fuel Fandango – We seem to have gone all Spanish this week. Stop shouting woman, I’m getting earache. Decent musical interlude, then oh bugger the shouting is back. Oh and a bloke in a ridiculous Country and Western shirt. Dreadful. Carlos Vive and Shakira – Someone tell the bloke to shut up, and let Shakira sing. And wiggle. Who would have thought I’d watch a song about a bicycle all the way through? Michelle Treacy – Yawn. And “I don’t give a …“ does not rhyme with up. Repeat Armageddon 50 times. Bored again. Next. Turkiss – Slightly hopeful at the start looking at three raven-haired beauties, but the song is just sheer tedium that no amount of sexy pouting will save. And if you Google their name, you get a New York Turkish restaurant. (I do try to take an interest in the artists, really.) Eddi Reader – Well, this isn’t a Fairground Attraction Song Eddi. And definitely not Perfect. Not the original version either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCRSB8o3CN4 Travelling Wilburys – We used to call these collections of famous names “supergroups” in the 1970s. It’s a pleasant enough tune, but seems to be a waste of all that talent. Sigma ft Birdy – Oh no, not another wailing female with a pointless grizzle of a song. All Saints – You would have thought from their first reunion in the Noughties that it was pointless to try a second. But they have, and another bland nothing of a song. Hope the dog advert comes back on, I’m bored. Julie Bergan – Another female pouting and screaming. Not much variety in this weeks list. The 1975 – Formulaic Indie pop. I’m Bored again. Random advert number 2 – Ooo, the Pinocchio song in Youtube advert, I’ve found my 10 pointer! Noyes – FFS, More female angst. Whine Whine Grizzle Grizzle. Enough! Creedence Clearwater Revival – Someone has been watching too many Vietnam War films. Finally, a proper song. Pentatonix – The miserable one has finally got his wish and is barely in his box before someone puts in one of his songs. And not even the original or the 1984 version by Jeff Buckley. Snore. Giorgia – Italian whiny grizzle. Jesus wept. Thank goodness for the Youtube Ads this week. Ira Losco – It might be Ira, but its just an ordinary pop song. At least she’s not grizzling. Jojo – FFS, More female angst. Whine. Whine. Grizzle. Grizzle. Enough! Kevin Wilson – Reputedly the last song played at the famous Wigan Casino in 1981 before they knocked it down and build a shopping centre. Now appears in an advert for the Happy Egg Company. And if you want to learn about Northern Soul: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMtaEASd2LI |

All in good humour of course, I just liked the rhyme! But still waiting on 13 of you to vote.....I have a feeling i'll be busy doing votes during JESC! But as long as you get them in I'll be happy!
