Not one mention of the word 'realness' anywhere.

Circle of Light seems to be the consensus then, which means they'll probably go rogue again.
I'm getting Erika Selin vibes from it, destined for top 10 of the NF rejects contest I think.

Not a drill!

Aftonbladet is reporting that Charlotte Perrelli is taking part in Melodifestivalen with a schlager banger!
Hopefully she'll remember her lyrics this time round.

Fat Chance beckons I reckon.

Here's Aftonbladet's current list of "confirmed" Melfest participants.....

Has anyone else come across a rumour that Loreen may be taking part too?

What?! I thought Aminata was a judge, not a contestant!

In that case Will-I-Am should have been sent home in series 1 episode 1 in the UK

If you're going to feel ancient and depressed just because someone is younger than you*, life is going to be pretty hard the older you get

* generic 'you'

Lol I saw pics on Facebook of her with other contestants and assumed she was their mentor....not one of them!
She has just released her second album, so I don't know why she is still looking to go down the reality music show route as a contestant
Also, it must have been super weird to have a fellow Eurovision act from the same year as your mentor. Aminata is so much better than Polina

I would guess her reasons are similar to Saara's: moderately successful career back home but wants the exposure to a much bigger market. Saara said even before bootcamp that her goal was mainly to build up contacts in the UK music industry that can really help her with her career. In Aminata's case Polina is a massive star in Russia, can't hurt to have someone like that on your side.

Ayo! It's not as bad as the snippet suggested, actually. Still can't see her winning it though. Too generic.

No need to worry about tomorrow, Saara is winning material. That was without a doubt her best performance.

Saara just put Matt back down into second place there. That was so good.

Saara always takes every performance to the next level. She's practically like the guest star performer each week.

I really dont want her to win. Not because she isn't the best. It is because she will be/already is in the syco trap and I actually would like her to sing for UK but the BBC v SYCO fest means she will never do it. Shame really that Simon is such a dictator like that.

NO the answer is not "Put Eurovision on ITV" as yeah Honey G anyone?

Forgive me for being blasphemous but Ave Maria and oh my God! It was bad enough when I realised that Frans hadn't been even born the last time we won!

I've been feeling ancient enough as it is recently, my 34th birthday is coming up but I seem surrounded by young people who have never heard of Stalin!!! (the blank stares were horrifying) and will no doubt be very confused by why we should care about Castro dying. I have joked in the past that if you remember the Berlin Wall coming down and Mrs T leaving office first hand, you are properly grown-up, but now it might well be that magical weekend in 1997 when we got a new Government and the Blessed Katrina won!. There's only one thing for it - #officiallypastit

Onto other matters - I don't normally pay ANY attention to X Factor, except that last year's UMK was between Mikael and Saara for me so I've been zipping through recorded episodes to see her sing and then see how she's scored. She's really gaining momentum now isn't she? I thought she'd be the dark horse. I also remain mystified by Honey G, but hey, isn't everybody, except evidently Snoop Dog.... Saara for the win!

Perhaps the UK NF solution is do to as the Ukrainians do? By this I mean the two broadcasters put differences aside and pick and fund the entry together? I mean for Queen and Country. Strangely enough Cowell has the knack for pop and presentation that the BBC so doesn't. Rt. Hon. Karen Bradley MP (Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport) - are you listening? As much as I loathe what the man stands for, promise him a knighthood if he delivers Top-10. I'm serious! I will tolerate just about anything at this point. Including another American!
