There is someone on the X-factor forum who started a thread on his dilemma over cashing in on his £50 each way bet at 100/1...

I'm so happy she's gone the full distance. Even if she doesn't win I'm happy (because it's not like winning the X Factor means anything anymore, is it?) and I hope she's in the selections for 2018, either for the UK or Finland.

Switzerland's live check is today but they're not broadcasting it (probably for the best). Finalists are announced tomorrow.

Finland 2014 - Still not a fan of Finnish Coldplay.
S & M 2005 - "We should throw in a bit of dancing to distract people from what an overblown dirge our song is." Finland 2006 - Now we're talking! It's the hat that really sells the look. Lordi ensured they'd be remembered for a lifetime.Spain 1973 - Spain wishes they could have a result like that again. Turkey 2010 - 2010 really was slim pickings after a stellar '09 wasn't it? One of the few highlights and going all arena concert with it worked. UK 1997 - Still class even with the "let the love, light curry!" ![]() Latvia 2006 - He looks like Dean Gaffney with long hair. I really didn't need the reminder of how shit this was and still is. Even the robot is waving his arms for help at the end. Norway 2005 - Camp-tastic 80s glam rock. Germany 1985 - He could almost pass for a woman. Nice and melodic, but a bit snoozy. Thank god Bobbysocks won. Switzerland 1977 - This seems like Drew's handiwork... Russia 2007 - Ah back to where it began for Russia's slut-tastic finest. Probably the most clothes Serebro have ever worn. Romania 2012 - An accordion, bagpipes, drums, a summer banger and Elena. What more could you want? ![]() UK 1981 - Another of our classics. Germany 1994 - The real winner of '94. "Wo ist der party?" The party is here, ladies! The song and the choreography brings so much joy to my blackened soul.Boz n Hoz 2009 - Yawn. Moldova 2011 - They're just off the wall. Clearly on some good stuff. Boz n Hoz 2005 - Bosnia with a Melfest knock-off. I'd have been more lenient on them over the years if they'd brought more of this.Germany 1979 - They'd be arrested nowadays for cultural appropriation. Camp Genghis makes this. One of my guilty pleasures. <3 Portugal 1989 - Poor Portugal, as this shows, they try so hard... sometimes. At least she dressed herself for a good time. Sweden 1974 - Well yeah you can't have a groups round without the original masters! |

Seems Slovenia will be unveiling the acts participating in EMA later today. They are having 2 semi-finals of 8 acts with 4 from each qualifying to the Final.
Supposedly the show will be online to view the announcement. http://4d.rtvslo.si/zivo/tvs1 I'd watch if bloody work wasn't looming.

Looking at those names I'd say there are three frontrunners for me personally (Tosca Beat, Ina Shai and Zala Djuric Ribic). And I've just realised that Amaya is actually Maja Keuc. Whoops.

I can't wait to hear what Nika or Alya have!
Nika Zorjan is the Queen of Slovenian backing vocalists. She tried to steal Tinkara's limelight remember.
