Saara's Eurovision performance now definitely confirmed as untrue.

She's doing Everybody Wants To Rule The World. Probably the dark version of Lorde's.

Do we have a contest for new week?
Are we gonna have a second chance or no interest?

That's really early for the BBC. Are they feeling okay?

BBC 2 at the Hammersmith Apollo! Well, that's an upgrade.

Of similar quality to the 60 year celebration show?

I thought that, maybe the plan all along was to scale it up gradually to get the audience used to it- Must mean we'll hear the songs pretty early in the new year- I'm impressed they did a good job with the 60th

Bloody hell NF season has really ramped into overdrive now. Us and the Azeri's are usually pretty lazy and yet here we are with info in December!

Got my tickets Big discussions last year about the show being on BBC Four, seems that they've taken that on board and gone to Two where it should have been in the first place! Will kinda miss the "when will the BBC pull their finger out???" comments

I feel like I'm falling behind already, with all this information coming out nice and early ...

Still beats the March 'Big Reveals' on the Red Button! I will never forget the utter shock after EV.

Gosh what a night that was! We should make a blood pact never to go back to those days.

Haha the thread reaction to EV! Still funny!

It looks like I didn't mind it.

I stand by that though... It was memorable, just not in a good way...

Wow, not too long to wait for once! Will this be the earliest we've picked our entry since Jade?

I'm pleased they've promoted it to BBC2 as well. They wouldn't dare have the kind of appalling production values we had last year on one of their main channels so we should be in for a better show with none of the acts being sabotaged by the sound mix (#justice4Darline).

In other news - never fall asleep with chewing gum in your mouth, I've had several discoveries today of bits of it all over my body throughout today. Disgusting I know

That is extremely early - are we gonna be among the first NF finals? BBC2, a decent venue...is this what being taken seriously feels like?

Oh I've just read the small print about there being "a brilliant expert panel"...why do the BBC refuse to let us form our own opinions on the songs? The only time an "expert panel" has ever added anything to an NF was gobshite-gate. Drop the panel and just have 50/50 voting like every single other country in Europe does.

See you both there!

Wow, not too long to wait for once! Will this be the earliest we've picked our entry since Jade?
It's the earliest we have ever picked or revealed an entry since 1968!!! Which incidentally also took place on the 27th as did 1966. The UK has never had an NF any earlier than that.

Still beats the March 'Big Reveals' on the Red Button! I will never forget the utter shock after EV.
I was just reading back on the reactions and the way the suspense suddenly turns to disappointment is so funny. My response was a little bit delayed because it took me a short while to realise that SILWY was the Eurovision song, I thought they were just playing something from their back catalogue (???) to give us an idea of what to expect.
