"No one likes my post, why do I bother posting on here?!" Cue plenty of that!

Maltese artists announced:

No names I'm excited about but the best songs come by surprise.

Shame there's no Christabelle but Jessika remains as desperate as ever with her three submissions Good to see Maxine, Brooke, Jasmine and Raquel try again.

No Christabelle... Raquel and her manglish back again, I see.

Great to see Brooke, Jasmine Abela & Maxine on the list too.

No Lawrence Grey? Corazon? Danica Muscat?

Also came across this today:

Fun little game to see if you can win Eurovision, I got top five with Latvia and won with San Marino before getting a Lithuanian boyband and quitting. Fun thing to pass the time.

What could possibly be more important than Christabelle's annual MESC banger?

At least Jessika is upping her chances. I wonder what indecipherable manglish dirge Raquel has got this time?

What could possibly be worse than 'Flesh in Lice'?

That I fear is far TOO dear a price!

I was sort of expecting it to work out this way - though hoping it wouldn't. It's extraordinary for somebody from a foreign country with a totally different language and set of traditions, a music market which does not cross-over with the UK basically at all and basically no support here outside Eurovision super-fans to get to the Final. A good voice and talent can only get you so far.

Looking at it objectively, Matt Terry was very solid and Saara was lucky to avoid the chop early on and then her luck ran out at the last hurdle. Realistically how pleased do you think ITV would have been for her to actually win? The foreign girl who beat the British boy is absolutely a harder sell. Had she won, inevitably, there would be accusations of voter fraud aimed at her Finnish support (and there already was on Thursday and Friday online) and an online fan petition to try to take her win off her, because that's just how people are now, they loose with bad manners and misuse the internet to push agendas.

In the end, when faced with the difficult choice, people usually back the conservative choice - the handsome, British boy who can be exploited for an album's worth before disappearing from view. No, I suspect Saara will come out laughing in the end for three reasons - 1. it's done her no end of good not just in her own country and by extension Scandinavia but anywhere that cares to receive ITV, 2. the manner in which she has conducted herself throughout and in the loosing has earned respect without resorting to sob-stories which will pay dividends in the end and 3. when was the last time an X Factor winner ever amounted to anything as a singer long-term? Talk about poisoned chalice! Susan Boyle didn't with Got Talent, very different sort of thing, but its not exactly a great loss to SuBo in the long-run is it?

Best of both worlds me thinks - this way Saara gets the career boost and somebody will sign her if SyCo doesn't want her anyway and she won't be forced to put out some half-assed crappy single out for a cheap Christmas No. 1 and then forgotten about when the rushed first album bombs....

The rumoured list isn't far off so far. Good to see Elodie was right. I bet Giusy will be coming with a 'woman of certain age' type ballad instead of a tune like this. </3

No Annalisa? After "Se Avessi un cuore" You would have thought RAI would have noticed it and she was a lock.

My fragile heart can't take any more Annalisa Sanremo heartbreak so I don't mind her being rested a year. On the plus side, Italian Chiara is similar in music style.

Yes to Giusy Ferreri. Something as good as Volevo Te would be great.
