I knew you wouldn't be happy.

One positive is at least Baguette didn't screw the song up in a live setting.

It's free for NF rejects in studio form now

If Portugal really want to go wild they could do no worse than to tap her up. It works for Napoli and Ylva & Linda hawking their wares around the NFs.

Oh wow, looks like I have to delete Brequette from my playlist already.
I think Spain are really pushing for a male entry this year.

RTVE should have just chucked money at Alvaro Soler. I would love Spain to embrace their Spanish culture more like a Summery Mediterranean song or an Ibiza club smash.

Someone on escforum said that they should do a Greece and play towards the stereotypes of what people have/want for Spain.

I would love Alvaro Soler to participate but can we aim higher like I don't know Enrique Iglesias .

Alvaro over Enrique any day

I haven't bothered to listen to any of the Spanish songs yet, didn't realise it was only a 3 song supervagina. I imagine they'll be propping up the scoreboard again though as usual.

All this messing about Spain are doing is just to pick one wildcard to qualify for the NF proper in February.

It's more convoluted than that wolfie.

There were 30 songs, then 10 and now we have 3.

The 3 songs picked today fight it out for a place in the National Final where the winner will then compete against an as yet unknown number of invited acts for the ticket to Kyiv. It's been rumoured there will be 4 other acts as well as the wildcard winner.

Seems a lot of effort for a 21st place finish in May.

If Germany has taught us anything it's that the wildcard winner will be the overall winner, too (as with Elaiza and Ann Sophie) so I think both LeKlein and Javián could be good choices. Not sure how they'd stage No Somos Heroes without being allowed kids on stage, though.

For Lisa....the jury results in Spain...

Incredibly close Top 5, but I'm stunned at that tie.

Not so sure you can include Ann Sophie as an example. She didn't so much win as have it handed to her on a plate.

Good point! I guess it still shows the public will get behind a song they've already heard, but it depends on the competition Spain choose for them I guess.

Brequette

Welp, I'm firmly on team "Live It Up", although I do like "Ouch!", but they should really reconsider the hook & title

Yeah I think the real punch in the gut is finishing in a joint tie with Daddy's Little Girl.....poor Brequette

That was my thinking as well, so it'll probably end up being Javian on that basis. In fairness that song is Alvaro-lite and it would give them a decent result for a change.

That's even more depressing! A tie with that creepy Daddy song and so many votes for it. Poor Romy getting one token point.

What's with the bitchy 0s from Juror 7?

Has Albania forgotten all about FiK? The first semi is tomorrow and they still haven't revealed any songs yet.

Morning all!

Anyone know what time it will all kick off tonight? There's nothing on eurovision.tv?

Daniel Levi has let me down a bit this year, I'm hoping the visual will make up for the aural 😛

There's a few that I'm feeling positive towards, Slingshot is one of them but I'm slightly more embarrassed to admit that I find myself singing "My Hurra, my hurra, my hurra...." every now and again 🤓

I have heard 2100 CET, but I'm not 100% sure at this point!

Thanks Anne!

I'll start lurking about 7/7.30 then 😃 I notice that the RTSH website has live streams of their channels so no worries about tuning in.

Edit: http://rtsh.al/programi-tvsh/ the schedule has appeared and it seems to suggest a 2035 start... is Albania on CET?
