I keep expecting this to merge into a bit of Deniece Williams for some reason.

Is Jill Johnson still saying she'll never do Melfest again? Maybe when Bjorkman bows out.

It really is. The first winner that genuinely wouldn't sound out of place in today's contest.

The nice thing about the "3 minute rule" is that 10 songs is exactly half an hour long.

Honestly, quite a few of the songs I'm hearing are completely new to me!

Certain to be a pointless answer if "Eurovision Winners" came up on the TV show.

This sounds like a Finnish version of Heaven is a Place on Earth.

Belongs in JESC, I just find it highly irritating!

The shrill kiddie tones cut through me like a knife.

Oooh first 2016 drop, surprisingly it's Ira. Still a tune!

Can I confess that I've never seen the 91 contest but I've seen you talking about it being special - what is it about that year that's so legendary?

More than half the songs (even the OPENING song) are really good and the hosting is a fun trainwreck.

It was awesome. Toto Cutugno, the previous winner for Italy was a complete shambles as a host. Yugoslavia's Babi Doll backing dancers dancing has to be seen to be believed. And then there was Thomas Forstners hair, Samantha Janus 'singing', and a scoring tie, resolved under the old rules...

Ah, if I'd twigged that it was Italy, it would've made sense - they have their own unique brand of efficiency . God, I'd love to see them win it soon, preferably with a huge rock-ballad belter from someone like Greta or Dolcenera. A modern Italian Eurovision would be amazing

And I managed to join in after Sandra Kim - I call that a win

I've got my phone plugged into my docking station so that the whole house gets to enjoy this!
