1 point - Iceland 2 points - Serbia and Montenegro 3 points - Bosnia and Herzegovina 4 points - France 5 points - Albania 6 points - Turkey 7 points - Belgium 8 points - Sweden 10 points - Cyprus 12 points - Ukraine If we're including all countries, I'd ditch Iceland and S+M for Andorra and Slovenia (don't judge!) Plus, points for Deen are based on comedic reasons! So many crap entries overall that year though. I haven't suffered any PED this year but I have been killing spare time by updating my top ten of each year. Working backwards and currently in 1972! |

When does the BBC usually announce the UK's participation in the following year's contest?

2004 was male and ballad heavy wasn't it! I loved Malta, Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Ukraine that year.

Dana was by far the weakest vocalist out of the acts that ended up in top six in 1998- the UK, Malta, Netherlands, Croatia and Belgium were all represented by fantastic vocalists. In fact, she was arguably the weakest singer of the night apart from Germany's Guildo Horn.

More American connections to Eurovision.
Eurovision appeared on the American version of Gogglebox (The People's Couch) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6OLTAcjlWg While 1944 appeared universally disliked by Americans in this clip, in the youtube video, and among all the Americans I know that watch, it shockingly reached #1 on the US Spotify Viral Chart. Even more surprising since its only been a top 40 hit on two country's main charts. https://infeusa.wordpress.com/2016/0...ates-viral-50/ And finally I've heard two Eurovision songs while watching cable news the last two days. The first one was on Fox News when they interviewed people in New Jersey their opinion on Donald Trump. Since many in New Jersey are of Italian descent, Volare played in the background. The more surprising was on CNN today. During a commercial for CNN Heroes, Heroes blasted throughout the promo! |

I love the comment of we down our drink if Russia win As they shouldn't win anything and we down our drink if they don't because it's a travesty if they don't

I enjoyed that American googlebox thing! Ukraine got that reaction from all my friends that watched tbh. I'd love to see their reaction to the uk! Plus, quite telling they picked Poland as a song to show
I believe you can see Amir perform at the Euro opening concert outside the Eiffel Tower here http://www.cloud-tivu.net/2016/04/12...d-smarthphone/ Officially, David Guetta is headlining the event and that's scheduled to be 23:00 CET. That can also be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSnTfO7b1-M But I don't know if 23:00 is when Guetta begins performing or when the concert starts. I using another stream before that was a buffering nightmare, but I at least saw Amir being interviewed. |

I thought they chose the top 4 in the televote to show, but that may have just been coincidence.

I'm not usually one for child performers but how good is this? Couple of eurovision songs and a performance from a certain judge
