Probably an unpopular view but I really liked David Cameron and I'm Devastated about the result of the vote.

Scotland will be independent within the next 5 years

It's slightly worrying how many people genuinely have no idea about anything, judging by Twitter.

And I can see the "Irish problem" becoming a problem again in the not too distant future.

The thought of Johnson as PM is not a pleasant one.

I just want to say even though I don't live in the UK, I'm not happy about this.

Very sad news.
I think that a UK exit from Eurovision is almost certain now

This won't help the usual "Europe hates us, we should pull out of eurovision" rubbish we hear every year in the run up and during the contest

It was an exit from the EU not the EBU. Sorry to get your hopes up.

In other news the provisional dates have been changed to the 9th, 11th and 13th

Daaa?
I know Lisa, it's just that people who want UK out of Eurovision due to the bad results now will have an extra argument to use, as UK will jump on the irrelevant to E.U.-countries-competing train, along with Israel, Australia etc

It's just all still too raw to be hearing those whispers. I've seen enough rubbish on twitter to last for a lifetime - on that note I can't believe (but in some ways I can) that the Eurovision twitter had to put another of their infamous statements out.

In a lighter tone, after this year's greek fiasco, Dionisis Tsaknis announced that he is not going to be responsible for Eurovision anymore ( thanks ESC Gods )
Instead, the man who is now in charge has already started negotiations with sponsors and he said that he wants Demy to represent Greece next year, with Dimitris Kontopoulos and Fokas Evaggelinos working with her. Excited times ahead if she accepts

Me too, really didn't expect the outcome we've ended up with, not happy about it at all.

Was looking at the vote splits and I noticed that some of the areas with the biggest leave votes were those with sizeable Lithuanian populations (Boston etc). I remember when the UK gave Lithuania 12 this year a lot of people on here were wondering where all the Lithuanians actually are, and I was sort of wondering the same at the time. I guess it's maybe causing friction in those particular areas?

Next time we have a referendum we need a 50/50 jury split, the televoters clearly can't be trusted. Dave Arch and CeCe Sammy would never have let this happen...

Well I'm happy about the result. I was undecided right until I walked into the polling station but I would have been genuinely ashamed of myself if I had voted against the principle of democracy.

Absolutely. Most of the biggest leave votes came in areas where Eastern European immigration is highest. I guess when whole communities are changing etc, you can understand why people feel the need to want to stop it.

It was a truly amazing David versus Goliath moment. I didn't think it could happen.

I've just come back from holiday, probably for the best that I was sat on a beach reading about Brexit because it calmed me down from the sheer white fury I was experiencing.

What also made the trip was getting my Emirates flight, tapping on the European Hits radio show and then being greeted by what was essentially a Melfest 2016 playlist with the odd German and Italian song in between. I certainly wasn't expecting to be listening to Panetoz whilst cruising over Iran or SaRaha over the Sahara!

Just posting here to see if any of you guys want to pop over and vote in my 2014 revote contest which is currently ongoing. We are still at the Semi-Final stage and the voting is due to close on Tuesday evening. So you have just over 48 hours if you want to send in your votes.

For further details click on the link below, but basically you just need to PM me your top 10 in both semi-finals with the 10 highest scoring songs in both semi-finals progressing to the final.

Thanks

2014 Revote Contest
