"Didn't I warn you good?"... well that loses points for bad grammar...

Dami Im - Kicking off Fantasy 2016 with a bang! Dami's stuff prior to ESC is way more awesome than Sound of Silence. The banjo beats work so well in this.
Mirami - European slut-pop bangers are where it's at! <3 I see they raided Dame Linda Martin's wardrobe for those glittery dresses. Kyla La Grange & Kygo - I know I'm a fan of the whistly women, but err subtitles please? I like the acid trip video and when the Kygo beats kick in, but it doesn't really go anywhere. Madison Avenue - Oh god now I feel old. Still a tune!Alan Walker - Now this is how it's done with whistly woman and EDM beats. Yohanna - This was just in DSFE so I've got a feeling I might know who's chancing their arm again. Yohanna going back to what she does best, although that slut-shaming her mum song will stay with me a life time!Fitz & The Tantrums - Great band name! These sound familiar... ahh google tells me they had a song on FIFA 13. Spark is way better than this song. Little Mix - One of Little Mix's worst songs, so cheesy. I much prefer Little Mix and Derulo when they're doing their upbeat stuff. MNEK feat. Zara Larsson - Scandi Queen and slayer of the charts! <3 I love the urban flavour MNEK brings to the party. Midigma Dorzhieva - Showing its age a lot, but the trashy, kitchen sinking does amuse me enough to like it. Enrique Iglesias ft. Wisin - Top tip, 1min is when it gets going. Always prefer Enrique's Spanish beats. Lucius - Well the playlist had to go downhill eventually. Not in the mood for avant-garde weirdness. Francine Jordi - Now this is more like it. Wait what, how do I not know about this Schlager of The Year show? That surely can't be the same Francine of 2002, I want the name of her surgeon pronto!Oasis - Next... Rocky Sharpe & The Replays - I have my suspicions... Well at least it's old skool fun. ![]() Suzanne Vega - Fantastic for insomnia therapy. Elle King - Sometimes you just need that badass grit. Heard this a lot on NZ radio when I was on my adventures at the start of the year. Ida LaFontaine - I'm sure I've heard this song before, sounds familiar anyway. Should've gone to melfest. Astrid S - Another just in DSFE. Some slow jams beats from Norway's answer to Zara Larsson. Bear's Den - Another one to induce narcolepsy. Rob Thomas - I'd forgotten he'd done this song. I now wish I could still forget. Nina Nesbitt - I liked that song of hers in the previous DSFE contest and this is even better! Love the camera work in the video too.Kylie Minogue - YAAAAS KWEEN KYLIE!! We are not worthy of such a disco goddess! <3 Frances - I'm sure someone will be along to tell me what that riff from an old song she's stolen in the chorus is. It's very magnolia. Victoria Wood - I don't want to be lynched, so I'll just say RIP Vicky, but it's not for me. Yulianna Karaulova - I like her tone. Obviously it's not, because she's singing in Russian, but it gives me Italian pop-ballad vibes. Don't ask how my weird mind works. Thunderclap Newman - Another one for the oldies. The Veronicas - It's our favourite Australian Twiins going for some EDM beats. Eh, feel you in my blood? Is this some vampiric fetish I don't know about? ![]() Ward Thomas - Oh I do love some Country whimsy every now and again. Douwe Bob - Urgh I'd already blocked out Douchebag Bob from Eurovision memory. How did that 1000 Euro bet go? LOL. ![]() Ewelina Lisowska - A good bit of Polish angst that plods along nicely enough. Dammit, it's actually going to be really hard to narrow it down to just 10! |

Yes I've arranged to have a reunion there with some of the lovely folk I met in Euroclub in Stockholm
![]() No I haven't been before....I expect it is probably quite cliquey with the same people going every year but as long as the euro tunes are pumping I'll be happy! Are you or any of the other WiWi's going? I will be there. None of the other wiwis are... Say hi to me. I might know some of the people you met at Euroclub. It's a fairly small community after all

I absolutely love my 12 pointer. That's what I really like about Fantasy, I discover new songs which would have otherwise passed me by. Kudos to whoever sent it for giving me my summer earworm.
![]() I've decided I will be opening 'Best Song from a Disney Movie' at some point tomorrow instead of Wednesday because I'm being discharged from hospital on that day and I'm sure I'll be so stressed I'll just forget about it. That gives everyone more time to pick a song.

Dami Im
Slightly less dull than Sound Of Silnce. The instrumentation is nice but the lyrics are clichι af. Mirami That's a really challenging dance routine. Kygo, Kyla La Grange the original is great, this is great. That riff though. <3 Madison Avenue This is so catchy. This song has really stood the test of time. Many songs from that era have not. Alan Walker The vocals are quite lovely. Modern dance music doesn't have to be trashy garbage. See here. Yohanna Wow. What a horrendous song. Fitz & The Tantrums David Van Day says hello. Next. Little Mix Feat. Jason Derulo Great song with a great message (originally). Perrie's voice blows me away every time. MNEK & Zara Larsson I like Zara but don't much care for this song. Midigma Dorzhieva So did Ruslana rip this off or did this rip Ruslana off? Enrique Iglesias Feat. Wisin Love this. And the added bonus of looking at him. God. Lucius The song itself has nothing original or interesting. Producing a weird video isn't enough. Francine Jordi Schlager isn't for me at all but this isn't so bad. Oasis Well it's not their best is it. Still better than plenty on this playlist though. Rocky Sharpe & The Replays And a mini saxophone too. Pure bonkers. Suzanne Vega She has such a warm, beautiful voice. Gorgeous song. Elle King Don't like this song at all. Sick of hearing it. Ida LaFontaine This is decent. Not many views though. Astrid S She has a bit of GiGi Hadid going on. Good song. Bear's Den This isn't making me feel anything. Rob Thomas Ah it's Matchbox Twenty guy. No thanks. Nina Nesbitt The chorus is a bit of a disappointing. Despite that, there's still a lot to like about this. Kylie Minogue Still sounds great today. Frances Perfectly pleasant and uninspiring. Victoria Wood Classic stuff. She was brilliant. Yulianna Karaulova Someone with a more powerful voice could have elevated this a bit more at the ned but it's a very nice song regardless. Thunderclap Newman No thanks. The Veronicas They are quite versatile as artists. This is a good song. Ward Thomas Rather plain. Douwe Bob Great voice, gorgeous looking, decent song. Ewelina Lisowska Like this alot. As usual, it's a playlist which goes from the sublime to the ridiculous and back again. |
