Hi everyone! This is Princess NightFox coming at you from a hospital bed in Wimbledon, I’ll spare you the details.

We all love a bit of Disney don’t we? Is that a very firm ‘Yes!’ I hear? Great!
So I thought what a splendid idea it would be to have a contest based on what DS thinks is the best original song to feature in a Disney movie. The rules are as follows:

- It has to be an original composition from a film produced by Disney in other words the song has to be made specifically for the film

- No cover versions we all know that the Riga Beaver performed a truly majestic cover version of ‘Let It Go’ during this year’s Latvian final although I’m afraid to say he isn’t eligible for this competition

- No instrumentals kinda defeats the point of finding the best song don’t cha think?

There are plenty of options available so if you’re really unsure what to send in it’s worth doing a little bit of research, there are some real hidden gems out there.

A host may ban entries that have won a previous Eurovision competition
If you enter a song but don’t vote you will be penalised one third of your score.

Fantasy - 8 rounds plus Andra Chansen, so approx. one every three weeks.
The rules for the contest are as usual you can enter any song as long as its not been used before or been in ESC or an NF, please consult the wiki for list of songs already taken from 2010-2015
Number of qualifiers based on entries, 1-30 = 8 Q, 31-40 = 10 Q, 41+ = 12 Qualifiers.
In the semi-finals a non-voters song will be penalised by 13 points. (1 more than the maximum you would have given someone else)

I keep a new Word document each year, (I am so sad), so I can tell you that you suggested it sometime between June and October 2014. You had a little batch of suggestions which I copied, so the comment at the end is yours as well!

There could be a few Eurovision stars bumped off if we go for that theme, Ani Lorak would have to go in hiding

How about best song from Africa/ Asia/ Central or South America? As they tend to be continents with less explored music. I don't mind having a go at hosting at some point.

DSFE already does those types of regional contests and songs from around the world already crop up in Fantasy.

I can just imagine the DSFE style 'Irish Granny Rule' rows already of people trying to put through artists because they spent 2 weeks on safari in South Africa as a child.

Oceania would be fun. I would like to see hidden gems from Vanuatu, Kiribati or Nauru. New Zealand needs to be banned there.

If you want to extend it to Oceania as well that would be good (as long as Australia is banned as well). I had an idea for a format which is slightly different but could be interesting. If people are interested I can take a week and do that if yous want.
