Yes I'm not looking forward to going later, but then I hate the place as it is anyway, so god knows what I'll be like.

The one thing that really irritated me though was the Polish televote result - 3rd really!?

His jury final performance was apparently bad, if it had been better he may have been higher.
If Poland and Lithuania are always going to top our televote is there much point in any of us voting when the results are a foregone conclusion. |

Well that's one theory - apart from the blindingly obvious one which results in Poland getting 10 or 12 points in the televote from Ireland and the UK - and I seems this year most if Western Europe - as an example every year irrespective of the song or genre. Yet televoters in FYROM, Armenia or Montenegro for example barely gave Poland any points at all.
What I'm really proud of is that Ukraine got the Finnish televote's 12 points, although the stupid jury gave it nothing. Oh, and the UK jury giving Georgia their 12 was ace

![]() I thoroughly enjoyed the final. Thought it was well produced, loved the hosting and Love Love Peace Peace was absolutely epic! The 'Loreen" just shuffling in the background, the hamster wheel, the Polish butter churners... So many references! Not all of them winning formula material though! ![]() Absolutely guttered for the UK result. We didn't deserve that, and I agree with everyone else who has said the jury vote had us about right. We totally bombed in the televote which is such a shame, Joe and Jake were far better than a good few songs that placed higher in the end. On a better note, so thrilled for Poli! Knew it wasn't ever going to win against the big favourites but to come 4th! Bloody hell I nearly fell out of my seat when she did so well! Absolutely love ILWAC and she really did Bulgaria proud. Maybe next year will be there time! ![]() I sat and watched the final with my boyfriend and a few others and right from the start predicted Germany coming bottom. It's tragic they've been last two years on the trot, if their public are anything like the UK it'll be all "we must withdraw, Europe hates us, blah blah" *rolls eyes* The new voting system is intense. I'll give it that! Not sure I like it but guess it takes time getting used to such a big change like this. The fact Poland beat so many big hitters in the televote was a shock, as I thought it was one of the few dreadful songs of the night. But hey ho. Ukraine I never really wanted to win. I never really gave the song a chance when it was first revealed, and it hasn't massively grown on me. It could be the first winning track I don't download since Russia in 2008. The way I said it Saturday night is the song is a little dark, it's hardly a club banger you could request on a night out like Euphoria or, from this year's crop, You Are The Only One. "Everybody throw your hands in the air and bounce for... 1944" yeah, don't quite see it!

yeah, don't quite see it!Ukraine is probably my favourite winner ever (apart from Lordi), and it has returned my faith in Eurovision, unlike last year's boring winner. There is still (divine) justice and beauty in this world, hooray for that!!

DSFE is the best imaginable PED cure - our door will be very much open when 78 starts to 21 and all who are in a comedown.

That Danish jury thing is quite funny; however it shows how much power one jury member has! Ukraine got 12 points but reverse the order and they get none! It's madness

1) Don't go ny how you do in one contest - it's perfectly possible to be wiped out in round 1 then win next time (or vice versa as I did).
2) Never pay attention to reviews - they mean nothing when it comes to results. You will learn this quickly

Finally caught up with 50+ pages of chat and the PED is hitting hard. Going to catch up on the bbc broadcast now. Dont think anyone has mentioned this but was there any kind of booing for Russia in the arena? I was in the Tele2 and a few did boo everytime Russia got high jury Points - although this was followed by tutting from other fans. Delighted for Poli, i remember when we all thought she might not scrape through the semi but here she is with Bulgarias best ever result! Gutted for Dami ( and the small possibility of a UK eurovish next year
) heres to next year in Ukraine!

I can't do DSFE anymore - there's just too many countries to wade through!
I like the ones in the GD thread, though, as they're a little less restrictive. |

Well then! I may soon be able to gripe about unfair bloc, cultural, and immigrant voting as well!

Can you post the results of the semis again? Missed them

I get the impression Ukraine winning was something of a nightmare scenario for Jon Ola Sand. Wouldn't be surprised if he stepped down and let Bjorkman handle the inevitable drama.

I was in the Globen for the grand final and didn't hear any booing, in fact apart from Sweden, I thought Russia and Australia had the best audience reaction of the night. The stage manager did come on though before transmission and said that it was party time and not to let politics get in the way
