As in like, any Eurovision themed contests this forum has ever had since 2010?
That's gonna be tougher than Lys Assia's tampon. ![]() |

Just bringing this over because what else do you all have to do in this rediculously humid weather? ![]() Quote:

From what I saw on Facebook, Berlin seemed so much fun Makson! I wouldn't have been able to stand the heat though... A friend of mine was competing for Slovenia in the vision contest, incredibly tall guy called Jan - been trying to find a video of it
![]() Edit: found it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFRTLDLVKog Jan is about 17mins and KWL straight after I thought it was a brave song choice for him to pick and not go for an obvious crowd pleaser *cough* Golden Boy *cough* so I actually gave him one of my stars too![]() The next eurovision event is being held in Cologne in September with special guests Barei and Poli Genova.....so so tempting

The Berlin Eurovision weekend was so much fun even if we almost conked out with the unbearable heat in the gala venue
Sandra Reemer was amazing and such a lovely person as she showed up to hang out with the fans at the after party, while Zoe didn't seem to hang around at all after her performance. The OGAEvision contest seemed to go on all night and was finally won by a Maltese guy performing Golden Boy. Karl William Lund finished around mid-table which was a surprise considering he was by far the most "well known" out of all his fellow contestants. And sadly, I didn't get to meet Jaccobabe ![]() ![]() It was Exceptionally hot in there. It's been bad before, but I think they set a new record this time. The artists at OGAEvision were incredibly sweet, and most of them sang really well. KWL did himself no favours performing Sound of Silence. It's an incredibly difficult song to sing and Dami he is not, even thought he's very nice. They also had a preparty on Friday and a brunch on Sunday. Both less crowded. Did you go to either? |

I didn't make it to brunch and quiz on Sunday though as it was on a little too early for me and needed some extra sleep after the previous two nights And totally agree about KWL....I think that song was just made for a female voice and his range didn't quite do the song justice. He should have performed his own song, Miracle. Quote:
Yes, Malta boy was good, but song choice was incredibly obvious, so didnt vote for him. Ended up voting for NL (I was surprised myself, but thought he had the best voice). Russia as he looked good on stage and the song was fun and no one knew it and Portugal as he looked great and had fun on stage

Yes I arrived pretty late at the pre-party on Friday night but was one of the last to leave

The brunch was OK. I left before the quiz since was meeting another friend, and they tend to be a bit boring and go on forever. 3. The Swedish guy was super sweet. He should also have chosen a different song, as Heroes proved way too hard for him, and everyone knows it. He could have done what Belgium did and chosen a song no one ever heard before and would have done a bit better. 4. I think the Polish guy was my favourite. Exceptionally sweet I've known the German girl since 2011 but never heard her sing before

Apparently the battle of the cities that wants to host Eurovision 2017 is being streamed somewhere now. I can't check it as I'm still at work.

So we can't enter a song that's been entered in any contest at all? Not even worst song etc?

Ruslana has basically already decided it's between Kiev and Lviv, ideally Lviv as she has fully prepared all the construction, planning, land surveys, the lot. ![]() Aside from that it pretty much went as expected, some candidates had done more homework than others... Kherson has no hope! And the roof/venue issues were a constant theme. 2 finalists will be selected on Friday. |

I can't quite remember the Polish guy at the moment but the Portgueuse duo were also very nice and friendly. Did you speak to KWL at all? Maybe he's lovely but I found him a little intimidating to approach
![]() And there was a funny moment when the German group were standing next to me for the results and they left out a massive cheer when it was revealed they had finished a position higher overall than the UK ![]() My Slovenian friend was running after him the whole evening like a 17 year old girl.I was also close to the Germans when that happened. I must have seen you. It was quite funny indeed

The City Battle show has finished, it's the Kharkiv support concert that's still on. The main take from the event was this.

Let It Go
Did someone really have to enter this? Is it good? Yes. Is it overrated? Yes. Bare Necessities Whoever voiced Baloo has such a cool voice. This is good fun. Zero To Hero Ahhhh the Muses. Oh how i love this film. I'll Try Not seen the film before but the song is nice. I 2 I I love Goofy & Max. The song is good for what it is. Happy Little Working Song Whistle While You Work is better. A Whole New World Perhaps the most saccharine Disney song ever? Dig A Little Deeper Never seen Princess & The Frog but i really enjoyed this song. Part Of Your World Such a gorgeous song. <3 Old Yeller Is this weedy's entry? ![]() I Wanna Be Like You Classic stuff. What's not to like? Just Around The Riverbend Not really my favourite this one tbh. Still I Fly Not bad. Never heard of the film before. When You Wish Upon A Star Love it love it love it. Pinocchio is such a great film too. The Circle Of Life Iconic. Epic. Magical. etc etc etc. Heigh Ho It amazes me how old this fim actually is. Still holds up so well and this song has stood the test of time. When She Loved Me Take this out of a Disney film and it's still a beautiful song. Be Our Guest Beauty & The Beast has never really done it for me but this is a fun little song. Candle On The Water Wasn't really feeling that. Friend Like Me Robin Williams at his best. Poor Unfortunate Souls Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Why do all the villains have English accents? I See The Light Good song. Works really well as a duet. Try Everything Nothing feels at all 'Disney' about this song. It's enjoyable enough though. That's How You Know Meh. I Won't Say I'm In Love Looooooove this. Meg is such a babe. I Just Can't Wait To Be King Everyone loves this song and i'm no exception. Can we do this again?

Hello Digital Spy this is Nathan calling!
As you may be aware that we are hosting a range of fantasy Eurovision events to plug the hole between the contests. Well I have GBBO, Strictly come Dancing and The Apprentice to do that ,don't know about you! .So for my contest I want you to dredge and sift the cesspit of the bottom 10 songs of each Eurovision since 2000 to find those diamonds that didn't trouble the left hand side of the leader boards. I hope you have fun searching the wikipedia articles of each ESC to do the maths to see if the song qualifies, but to add salt to the wound I remind you that you can not in no uncertain terms enter a song that has already been entered before in one of these shindigs so I urge you to refer to the article below. The DS Fantasy Rule Book/The DS Fantasy Bible You have until Sunday 24th July 2016 to search for your song when they will be revealed. The results will be Sunday 31st July 2016. Go easy on me this is my first ever hosting of something on here. ![]() LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!
