As many of you know, I've had a bit of an accident and have a long period of recuperation ahead of me. I can't concentrate on reading and I can only type one fingered on my phone *sigh*

Anyway - thank god for Eurovision.tv's archive section - I'm currently watching Songvakeppnin 2015 and plan on reliving many more fantastic NF's

Congratulations Lisa for winning and managing to snap Poli up first and many thanks to 21CB for excellent hosting skills.

I jest of course, although if anyone other than Poli wins then I owe you all a steak dinner.

I hope you're gradually getting back on the mend after your recent escapades! I hope you're prosecuting them.

The 2009 performances have been recently re-uploaded in HD realness, if you need something else to pass the time.

Don't confuse me like that. I barely know what day of the week I'm on as it is without genuinely doing a double take thinking I've entered something I don't know about.

Thanks for all the good wishes

After the disappointment of Fridrik Dor not winning Songvakeppnin 2015 yet again, I've moved on today to Ireland's Eurosong 2014 - gotta love a bit of gobshite-gate!

Contest - Best Eurovision Comeback

I declare this week's contest OPEN!

Rules are pretty simple - your song must be performed by an artist making their second, third (and so on) appearance at the contest. I will be accepting artists that appeared first as a group and then as a solo. Likewise, I will be accepting soloists who came back as part of a group.

If your artist appeared in one of the '90s semis but didn't make it, I will class that as their first attempt so their later comeback will be accepted...

That's a bit rambly but I'm at work and trying to type this while checking to see if any of my colleagues are nosing in.

You have until 12pm this Sunday to submit. Get sending!

Host City announcement today! (For what feels like the billionth time). I don't even know what/who? the candidates are, I'm so out of touch, it's shameful!

Ugh, the link isn't working how frustrating!

Oh well that probably gives them a reason to delay the announcement yet again.

Yep, Eurovoix and Wiwi both reporting that the annoucnement has been cancelled, this has gone beyond a joke now. At this rate I'll be surprised if Ukraine are even going to host at all, coming up to September and we don't even have a host city.

On the plus side, it's sparked some funny memes on Twitter.
