I gave 5 points to one of them... can't remember what the song sounds like now, which is always optimistic!

Oh wait she was the girl in the bushfire wasn't she?

In second place... it's me! Thanks for all the points for this fierce song, probably my favourite song I've sent. This is the second time I've sent a Venezuelan song, and it was my own heat, and I came 2nd. I think it's a curse.

2nd - Chicken FromKiev - 97 points
Aneeka - Ojo por Ojo

12 - TerryP, steeleuro_wolf
10 - Lurker62
8 - Only_You
7 - ESC Ross, phill363, nunaney, sbrum1984
6 - brb
5 - Lisa.B, BigBmad
4 -
3 - weedydiamond, Drew Peacock
2 - NightFox_Dancer, thms
1 - big bro geek

Which means the winner is the catchy little French song! Congrats Wolfy!

1st - steeleuro_wolf - 99 points
Jain - Come

12 - 21stCenturyBoy, Drew Peacock
10 - ChickenFromKiev, ESC Ross, avb
8 - nunaney, Lurker62
7 - NightFox_Dancer
6 - weedydiamond
5 - Steven_P
4 - Only_You, spindiddly
3 -
2 - Lisa.B
1 - Jaccobabe

Thanks everybody for playing! Full list to come.
Err my 2 points went to Izzy Bizu. Didn't vote for the winner.

In 2nd place, it's... the catchy, upbeat song from Jain! It misses out by three voters, which is such hard luck.

2nd - steeleuro_wolf - 97 points (13 voters)
Jain - Come

12 - 21stCenturyBoy, Drew Peacock
10 - ChickenFromKiev, ESC Ross, avb
8 - nunaney, Lurker62
7 - NightFox_Dancer
6 - weedydiamond
5 - Steven_P
4 - Only_You, spindiddly
3 -
2 -
1 - Jaccobabe

Which means, after some scandals, it turns out the winner is me. I... this is awkward...

1st - Chicken FromKiev - 97 points (16 voters)
Aneeka - Ojo por Ojo

12 - TerryP, steeleuro_wolf
10 - Lurker62
8 - Only_You
7 - ESC Ross, phill363, nunaney, sbrum1984
6 - brb
5 - Lisa.B, BigBmad
4 -
3 - weedydiamond, Drew Peacock
2 - NightFox_Dancer, thms
1 - big bro geek

Really sorry for messing this up... my mind read Jain for whatever reason...

I won't be complaining if it does change the end result. (Sorry Wolfy. ) I just found the song weird more than anything.

I don't think awkward is even the half of it.

Commiserations to Wolfie, way to squeal Lisa!

Well done ChickenKiev for winning as well as f̶l̶a̶w̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ hosting.

Lol the skandal of it all, well on the bright side it proved more exciting than the playlist at least. Winning your own contest, eh and in such dramatic circumstances, people will talk CFK! A fun hosting, though. Hopefully QF4 next door will go smoother!

I was thinking more along the lines of Cyndi, hopefully you won't hate ChickenKiev as much as she hates Wogan.

Just missing out on the top three is a song that was looking likely to finish around the middle until today, where it shockingly rose all the way up to 4th. No complaints from me!

4th - weedydiamond - 89 points (13 voters, three 12s)
Issa - Crossfire

12 - Lurker62, big bro geek, Jaccobabe
10 - phill363
8 - thengp12, 21stCenturyBoy
7 -
6 - Lisa.B, thms
5 -
4 - Steven_P, King Kunta
3 - brb
2 - ChickenFromKiev, ESC Ross

Thanks for all the votes peeps!

I did not expect this to come from weedy.
Surprise!

Don't worry, I won't be able to resist the lure of metal or prog rock for long.

Weedy in his covert Schlager diva operations again.
Schlager Diva? This is pure Shania Twain.
I like Shania Twain. And Norwegian blondes.

And Lisa, wheres my 12? You loved it in your review.

Once again I'm very sorry for being an idiot and messing this up, I've learnt not to host two things at once, it never ends well!

Now I'll be going into hiding...
You just need more practice...

This seemed to be a definite top three until today's votes, where it managed to lose out on the number of 12s. But at least Queen Greta qualified for something.

5th - phill363 - 89 points (13 voters, two 12s)
Greta Salome - Row

12 - Lisa.B, nunaney
10 - thengp12, steeleuro_wolf
8 - NightFox_Dancer, Steven_P
7 - nick1990
6 -
5 - ESC Ross, 21stCenturyBoy, thms, avb
4 -
3 -
2 -
1 - ChickenFromKiev, King Kunta
Thanks guys happy with 5th and my first qualifier

As soon as I heard it I knew I had to enter it here

The main thing I loved about it is there's still inflections of Hear Them Calling in the chorus... she's clearly still not over that and I'll never be either.

She was amazing! Met with the usual

'Doesn't Finland have an X Factor?'

'What? She's done shows before? No thanks!'

Which is a shame.

She was so good- I kinda hope she doesn't get chewed up by the Cowell machine though- The Beeb should be waiting in the wings to grab her for next years entry if she gets chucked early though

I'm just glad they didn't make her into too much of a curiosity in her intro piece. She was amazing! If Finland are stupid enough to pass Saara up twice then can we beg and donate organs to the BBC to get her to save our arses instead?
