Just missing out on the top 5. A good summery update, although it does get a bit repetitive.

So many good remixes, but not enough points to give out. Thankfully that didn't matter since it was consistently rolling in the scores to see it rise into the top 5 today and almost complete the scoring full house. It's got an extra lift to it compared to the original, but without trying to reinvent the wheel.

Was the early leader, but lost the position on Saturday. BGT could never.

There's no such thing as too much when it comes to turning your banger into an ultra banger. Solidly top 5 all week and was even challenging for the win on Saturday, but the ravers just couldn't keep up any more today.

Thanks for the hosting Lisa.B… even if you got the results backwards!
With regards to the UK NF something gives me the feeling Only_You is going to rather well in this ![]() Well done ESC Ross it is a really good remix! |

Hopefully Steven's managed to get plenty more sign-ups today, it really wasn't that hard to find something even with the added post-May 2016 challenge. Also in despite of the fact I did recently say over in DSFE that I'd probably cry if I was given a UK nation, because other than the really obvious, it's not my scene. |

That remix of Sound Of Silence is far superior to the original. Hence big points from me even though the original is pants.
The Spanish version of J'ai Cherche was probably the best song on the list but it isn't a remix it's the exact same but in Spanish so... 😜 |

Fantasy UK National Final 2017
This week I’ve been Guy Freeman - finding my own songs and asking others for theirs. Christer Bjorkman (shudder) sorting out the order of the songs for the playlist (UK running orders aren’t as much work I would imagine)… and I’ve just been the whole of Germany!
Now I’m Ken Bruce as I reveal the entries for our Fantasy UK NF 2017. So if the below was really our NF would we be happy? Is the UK’s music scene able to win, or at least do really well in Eurovision? There were a number of surprising omissions: Calvin Harris, Ward Thomas, Pet Shop Boys and Dua Lipa to list a few who were eligible but not nominated. But who was put forward? Song Number 01) All Saints - This Is A War Song Number 02) Emeli Sande - Hurts Song Number 03) Olly Murs - You Don't Know Love Song Number 04) Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Come With Us Song Number 05) BANKS - Gemini Feed Song Number 06) Jakil - Truth Is Song Number 07) Stooshe - Let It Go Song Number 08) Bastille - Good Grief Song Number 09) Phoria - Undone Song Number 10) Tom Chaplin - Quicksand Song Number 11) Florrie - Real Love Song Number 12) Jack Savoretti - When We Were Lovers Song Number 13) The Big Moon - Silent Movie Susie Song Number 14) Jonas Blue ft. JP Cooper - Perfect Strangers Song Number 15) Birdy - Words Song Number 16) Shawn Mendes - Mercy Song Number 17) MO - Who Do You Think Of? Playlist You have until 18:00 on Sunday 2nd October to PM me your standard Eurovision votes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, & 12). Anyone may vote even if you didn’t enter a song. However those who did enter must vote or face a 33% vote reduction (I know this isn’t in standard NF rules…. Imagine if it was!) After which I will be Scott Mill or Mel Giedroyc (I haven’t decided yet) to reveal the fantasy results. Now the voting has kicked off I’ve got some entertainment in mind but I need a volunteer who can rap to dress up as a badger… I’m also trying to line up Jamala for the interval but may have to have to wheel out potty-mouth Loreen again; though she insists on only doing the one song – anyone have Cheryl Baker’s phone number? All the best. |

I was gonna go for Ward Thomas but wasn't sure if they were allowed after appearing in the Fantasy heat earlier this year.
But it doesn't matter because this competition is decided. Someone entered the song of the year. <33333 |

That wasn't fun to watch. Big shame, especially as she's a better singer than any of those sat down.
I'm biased, so what. |

Why does tone deaf Relley still have a seat? In fact Saara was better than the majority of those sat down. As for the baying mob that couldn't appreciate a bit of culture.
![]() Hopefully a return to UMK 2017 is imminent. |

A fun perky remix just to refresh what might feel a little overplayed by now.

) Aminata was going nowhere fast until the weekend points started cascading! Virtually all or nothing voting, which I guess sticks to the marmite territory of the original. I wish this had've been the ESC entry instead, it actually has some life in it in this version.
