Is Elly mentally ill?
I have wondered that myself. If she is it should come out during her counselling.

I think it was kinda extreme of Neighbours to show Paul bring in a cat to kill pigeons.

Isn't it meant to be rated G.

You'll never guess what I've just stumbled across on an old VCR i shoved iin the machine to look for a H+A episode - Lauren's last episode from December 1994.

I can't remember how long brad had been gone at this stage, but from the short shorts and top Lauren was wearing in her last scene, there was no sign of pregnancy. She also was talking to Wayne about him visiting her in Queensland with a view to continuing the relationship they'd tentatively started.

I agree about the Paul and Terese story dragging on, though Neighbours does like to get the best out of it's storylines. They will end up together again anyway so may as well just get into bed now.

Lauren left 3 months after Brad. Brad wasn't sleeping with her around the time he married Beth.

Not really watched regularly since they ruined Typer and made Paige one of the most annoying characters going but have caught bits and bobs and watched yesterday's episode just to see Elly finally get some comeback for her bullying. What a let down. No angry words no real punishment and no real explanation as to why she was being so vindictive. Put on probation and counselling (she needs a counsellor but not for being rubbish at her job just for being a bit of a nutjob). Susan was far too lenient on her and Brad wasn't much use either (is he ever?). As much as i dislike Terese she would have demanded Elly's head on a platter and thats kind of what i was hoping for. She didn't even really apologise, just made lame excuses and basically got away with everything. Even Ned wasn't that bothered and forgave her almost instantly. With a family like hers, Piper doesn't need enemies!

I find the Paul/Terese thing very odd. She was going to let him rot in prison for the rest of his life and as much as he may have liked her (i don't believe he was ever 'in love' with her) that should have drawn a line under any possible relationship happening in the future let alone just a few months later and a silly childish feud.

Completely missed this stalker storyline thank goodness. Princess Steph the victim again! Everyone must protect her shes so precious to us. Who is Ari and what's his problem? Why aren't they giving him a medal, he hates Steph (win) and nearly killed Elly (double win), whats not to like about him?

Xanthe's become very annoying lately. Ben isn't hers, he's not a jumper she hasn't got dibs on him. Even if Ben and Madison were in a secret relationship it'd still be none of her business (or Sheila's for that matter) so her acting like it's some big betrayal (wrong end of the stick or not) is highly irritating. He's not cheating on her, and Madison could date whoever she pleases without needing the Canning's permission.

Speaking of Xanthe what actually happened between her and that Cooper boy? I only saw bits/read bits but it was all very vague. One minute she looked a bit annoyed like he'd tried to kiss her and pushed him away then at other times she was wailing and crying like a banshee like something much more serious had happened.

Don't get me started on Paige! She punches a punch bag as her excercise routine and now she's a professional boxer! And goodness knows how many months later and everything she does is still about Jack! Does she not have another topic of conversation?! Will Neighbours ever stop flogging this particular dead horse?

Typer was always rather creepy and best forgotten.

Elly is a cow and lord knows why Ned is with her.

Paige should forget about Jack and concentrate on Tyler - she has real chemistry with him.

Paul and Therese what a waste of space. He is a pathetic little man and their 'feud ' is so boring! I know Paul is a 'heritage character' but what else can they do with him ffs?

Time he went on a long trip - why not send him to visit Elle?

I know we all dislike Elly and an adult in authority bullying a child is never acceptable but I wouldn't say she has got off that leniantly. Being put on probation is actually quite a big deal, if she makes one mistake that is her career finished. I would imagine that this will stay on her record forever as well which could seriously impact on her getting positions in other schools or promotions. In effect, it could effect the rest of her working life so I do,'t think she's going to be forgetting about it, or repeating her behaviour in the future.

Oh, something i forgot about my two 'favourites'; why are Steph and Elly together in the opening credits? I thought they hated each other (unless its a hint that they'll become BFFs soon).

I can only assume its so the casual viewer flicking through might mistakenly think Libby's back and tune in. Boy would they be disappointed when it's just stupid Elly.

Xanthe is so whiny, the whole poor me act is wearing thin. Not to mention Xanthe and Ben has as much chemistry as a plank of wood.
Agree. Xanthie had more chemistry with Angus. This her and Ben thing is tedious now.

I doubt it's going to be taken that seriously, it is Neighbours after all and these types of things always get swept under the rug and forgotten very quickly. She'll probably be the star teacher next week much like Brad was made Citizen of the Year for basically being a useless git.

Paul and Terese storyline is becoming so childish and stretching believability now, but I think the pigeon race should be fun. Hope Clementine hasn't done too much damage.

You're probably right - in Neighbours it will be forgotten about. But, in real life, something like this would be damaging long term to a Teachers prospects.

I also wondered this as Steph clearly dislikes Elly (as does half of Ramsay Street) I guess it's because they can't ruin the Susan/Karl shot so they just plonked her in with Steph. Steph is also another one that they don't seem to know where to put.

I'm so glad Susan did the assignment swap. I rarely dislike Neighbours characters but I can't stand Elly - she's not at all likeable. I'd like to know if this is intentional by the writers and there is suddenly going to be a reason for her behaviour (like what theories have been mentioned on here).

Glad Elly was finally caught out today but think she should've been suspended for her behaviour...
I doubt if it had been Brad or some other teacher they would have been let off with anything less than a suspension and full investigation. It did come across to me as Susan letting her off lightly because she is her niece.

You'll never guess what I've just stumbled across on an old VCR i shoved iin the machine to look for a H+A episode - Lauren's last episode from December 1994.

Wow, that long ago. I was only 14 at the time then

It would have made more sense to put Steph with Paul and Elly on her own.

They also dont want to disrupt the Toadie and Sonya shot either. Although they will have to change it soon due to Nell having grown up more. In someways it would be good to have Steph with Toadie and Sonya but Neighbours mainly want to keep the couples together in the shots.

It made me dislike Brad even more. If my daughter was bullied by a teacher and I would demand that the teacher got punished and never teach my daughter again.

I wish they would update all the credits, they haven't been updated properly in a long time. I especially hate the Susan one, as she just looks really anxious and looks like she doesn't want to be there. I fast forward it so I don't have to look at her.

Maybe they will put Elly with Ned, assuming they stay together. Then maybe Steph could be with Mark.

Surprised he's returning given how rubbish his exit was.

Hopefully his return will become permanent I was disappointed when he left I thought he had the makings of a long term character. Especially considering they have now built up his onscreen family.
