Funny how we can see characters so differently. I think they're a but boring most of the time.
Me, too. Perhaps two dull people deserve to be together.

The charmed one was visionary

Nope but its time Neighbours brought back some great oldies likes the Willis's, the Martins, Annalise, Sarah Beaumont, Anne & Bill, Amy & Lance, Henry Mitchell , Dorothy Burke (Mim)etc

I'd also like to see Dee return in an explosive comeback as remember her body was never found.

Neghbours ruled during the 80s and 90s, its only been the last 5 or so years thats saw its decline.

Thought I saw someone put a mouth guard into Paige's mouth, Bit I agree, the 'fight' was unlikely - if Angelina was a professional, what was she doing fighting an amateur I thought boxers had to be licensed? And as for Angelina's coach threatening Aaron with medical fees, there is surely a risk of serious injury in boxing and there would be insurance etc. Remember the very sad case in British boxing a few years back where a young man suffered brain damage from a punch? I don't want to name the boxer who punched him in case I have the wrong name. The guy who was injured was Michael .

This fight should have been properly licensed and medical personnel (not Karl) on hand at all times. But then , this is Neighbours!
I thought I saw her gob a mouth guard out after the first round. It was so badly acted and silly that I stopped concentrating though. It was cringe makingly poor.

It was pretty embarrassing to watch. Obviously this will be Paige's first and last fight.

I'm not sure I can put into words just how ridiculous Neighbours has been this week. Suddenly a pigeon race is the deciding factor in the popularity of a hotel. Paige being allowed in the ring with a pro. And Madison nice but dim, being offered a professional singing gig. Hope she takes her auto tune gear with her.

I sometimes think the writers sit together laughing at just how dumb they think their audience are - and wondering just what nonsense they can get away with.
I think that the most questionable moment by the writers is saying that Sheila is only about to turn 60! She should be aged at least 7 years older than that.

Maybe they've reverse SORASed her to make it more believable that someone that old could get a mortgage on a house that must be the equivalent of £400k in our money. She had a nest egg and Kyle was helping but she needed to Air BnB a room out to make ends meet. Now Kyle has gone and she has a house full. I'm just imagining the southern people on here going "oh only £400k - bargain" while the northerners are going "how much????". To me that's a lot of money for someone nearly 60.

Shelia cant really be SORASed as her age hasnt been mentioned before. It makes you wonder how Shelia is paying for the mortgage now with Kyle having gone, Xanthe and Jimmy dont pay as they are the children, Gary doesnt have a job at the moment and that means that Sheilas only help financially for the house is through Amy's rent.

Interestingly the house that is Number 30 in neighbours (where Toadie and Sonya live) sold in reality a couple of years ago for £600,000.

Thought I was the only one to feel like this about Steph. And the 'My Boy' thing is getting REALLY annoying. It's not as if he is the only one. What happens if Adam comes back - is she going to call him 'My Other Boy'?
As she handed Adam over to his father completely she would be on very shaky ground if she tried to get him back!

You've left out the best one - Sid the Snake

I regret that the silly story lines are why I love Neighbours.

If she's only turning 60 how old is Gary meant to be? Realistically he'd have to be early 40s at the oldest to make that work, but then Kyle is mid-late 20s (the actor is 28) so they must have all had early kids!!

I couldn't believe it when they said Sheila was turning 60 how is it possible she's Gary's mother and Kyle's grandmother if she's only just turning 60? I thought Kyle was late 20s, Gary late 40s and Sheila late 60s that's the only way their ages would fit. If Sheila's only 60 that means Gary cant really be any older than 40 and he looks well over 40. And if Gary's only 40 how old does that make Kyle? Kyle went to school with Kate Ramsay didn't he? They finished 6th form in 2009 which would now make them both 26 now. He's 26 with a 40 year old dad and 60 year old grandmother? They've really messed up with the Cannings ages here.

Agreed. Kyle is 26. He last saw Gary when he was 8 then didn't see him for 16 years - that was 2 years ago. His age is pretty much established then. Gary couldn't be any younger than 45 ish (he looks that sort of age and there's been nothing said that he was at school when producing Kyle). That's would make Sheila 14 when she had Gary? I thought it was made out that she was approaching retirement age a while ago. Also she was married when she had him meaning she'd have been 16-18? It's all silly.

Just watching yesterday's episode - they supposedly got £12,000 from ticket sales? Were the tickets £100?

Paige shouldn't feel guilty about Angelina ending up in hospital. She didn't know that Angelina had a tumour. Aaron was right to go and see Karl about what Angelina's trainer had said. I knew that her trainer was laying it on thick just to try and get Aaron to pay up. Angelina shouldn't have been fighting if she's got a tumour. Both Angelina and her trainer don't stand a chance in getting a settlement from Paige or Aaron. In fact, Angelina's trainer might be questioned about him pushing Angelina to fight Paige. I have a feeling that Paul and Terese are going to end up getting together again. I'm glad that Xanthe and Ben are back together. I like them as a couple.

I don't - I think Xanthe is far too good for Ben. He's such a tool, when the going gets tough he either walks away or just stands still looking gormless.

I didn't used to like to Gary Canning but one ray of hope in Neighbours at the moment is the excellent yet believeable way his character has been developed. I really like the Cannings actually, they're a nice little family unit, as are the Rebecchis. I wish the show would focus more on that than OTT dramas that will pull in a few casual viewers for a couple of episodes if they're lucky!

I completely agree with this post. Ben being described as a tool is a pretty good way of putting it.

While the OTT dramas are good to a point they do start to tire due to either long windedness or being repetitive. What I would really like to see is a serious Storyline for Karl and Susan, not one of of the silly ones like Karl buying a pigeon but something a bit more substantial. Maybe revisit Susan's MS or I would rather that they delved into Susan's past where she euthanised her mother. It would be a hard hitting storyline that is both interesting and challenging and really what the character needs. Decent Storylines.

What happened to Alison? They seemed to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh together and now it seems she's dumped!
