I'm mid-catch up of the past couple of days.

So how long do we reckon before Max and Philippa get conveniently killed off off-screen and Charlie goes to live with Steph? Will they even make it to the end of their NZ holiday?

It looks like Paige and that doctor might end up together. They seemed to be getting along very well and Paige was very enthusiastic when talking to him. Jack looked as if he was having great difficulty in having a conversation with Amy while Paige was laughing with that doctor. I hope he doesn't start behaving in a jealous way towards Paige. He made his choice. I'm finding it very strange that Angelina's mother won't allow the neurosurgeon to operate on Angelina to remove the tumour. Unless Angelina has told her mother that she doesn't want to be operated on if anything happened to her during a fight. Sonya comes to the rescue again for someone. I bet Toadie's not too happy about it in the next episode.

The Tanaka twins are not impressing me thus far - well the one we have seen so far anyway - bit of a wet blanket. I'd much rather Ned stayed and was made permanent.

I loved Sonya and Susan's chat about Susan's surrogacy in 2009 and it was wonderfully acted by Jackie and Eve but Jackie was the standout star. Susan acknowledged her mistakes and she accepted it was partly her fault for Libby and Dan's relationship troubles because she was so interfering etc.

me neither. And I know twins are not necessarily identical, but these two aren't even the same height! And they are girly! Notice the PC way we were told he was Japanese? 'Oh,my miso!'

I know when I've pondered surrogacy, that my first choice to carry the baby would be an ex junkie that has been tempted to fall off the wagon recently.

edit: in case anybody gets their knickers in a twist, I am being facetious because I can't stand Sonya and how she seems to be the go to person for every blummin thing. (I can't use the words I'd really like to use)

I see Paige is possibly getting into yet another relationship while hanging around the hospital again like a bad smell.

I love how Erinsbrough exists in some kind of weird time bubble where everyone has more time in a day than 24 hours should allow. "I'll teach economics...I'll teach mechanics" but we'll still be hanging around doing bugger all most of the episodes.

It would not have made Amy a bad person to have not made up with Kyle. It makes her human with real feeling because she still loves him. Shame it was so well handled up to that point. And her scene with Kyle where she is crying and laying in to him for leaving her was very real and brilliantly acted.

Also hate Kylie's character of being jolly and happy all the time and acting like nothing he does affects anyone. Glad hes going.”

What was the point of Kyle's in-and-out return anyway?

Not quite sure of the point of the new twins. Neighbours already has its fill of 20 something men. Don't really need anymore. And one episode in and you can tell Aaron is going to end up with the gay brother. There isn't any room for them in the street either as far as I can fathom although I guess this works for Paul and the Priest.

So true, Amy goes from "being a mess" to giving him marriage advice in the next scene. It took me 2 years to get over my ex, the thought of being friends with him is laughable. Neighbours just has to be nicey nice all the time it seems.

Todays episode must go down as one of the most ethical episodes in Neighbours history. The pros and cons of both surrogacy and Angelina's operation were all weighed up. All they needed was one character to discuss Kant's view and that would have completed it.

What is the point of these new twins? Both cant act, seem incredibly boring and add nothing to the show, not to mention that there isnt any room for them and it now means that there is an overcrowding of men on the show.

Plus they are getting rid of Ned again to accommodate them

Me too! Can't be doing with him at all and the Cannings are better without him around. I miss Bossy more than Kyle! Amy is far too good for him.

Amy needs a real man, not one of the new drippy twins.

It's a pity she was already with Kyle as I think otherwise she and Gary would be good together. But now it would be creepy.

She might work with Mark. I can't see Mark and Steph lasting. Plus he would have an instant family in Jimmy and Amy would probably be open to more kids if in a stable relationship.

Amy and Mark would suit eachother in many respects but Mark just doesnt deserve her. Jack would be a good pairing with her, he is certainly more suited to Amy than he is Paige. Amy and a twin would be a bad pairing.

I do like Steph and Mark as a couple, but I also could visualise him more with Amy as a more long-term thing.

If Jack doesn't leave the church for Paige he won't leave it for Amy.

I like him with Amy too but I honestly think he sees her as a friend and only a friend whereas he does have romantic feelings for Paige, unfortunately!!

I agree I think Amy would be better with Mark but would she really go there! She is good friends with Steph and would she want to hurt her. I know if it was the other way round Steph wouldn't care and would just get with Mark, but Amy does seem to care about others.

Sonya's not always my favourite character but it is commendable what she is considering doing. My concern if I was in that situation is Mark and Steph have only been together for 5 minutes and not even living together, how committed are they? Surely you want a couple to have been together a lot longer and at least living together before considering going down that road.

Also, why does Paige interfere in everything, why does she feel it is her right for Angelina to have the operation! It should be down to her family, not her.

Sorry to be indelicate but is Toadie impotent now? Or does his sperm just not work? They drop hint at a problem but don't explain it probably.

Paige really needs to mind her own business. I am sick and tired of everyone pussyfooting around her and putting her before everyone else.

The second twin is just as bad as the first.

BIB - Amy should be DNA tested immediately - is she really Paul's daughter?!

Re Sonya - apologies as I haven't seen today's episode yet, so haven't seen Toadie's reaction to Sonya's proposal. While it's commendable she wants to do that for Steph and Mark, my concern is yet again, she's putting someone else ahead of Toadie. Toadie, who wants more kids himself but can't, will be forced to watch while his wife carries his best friends' baby. And Sonya, as a mini-Susan, would not be able to stop herself from interfering in Mark and Steph's relationship, as Susan did with Dan and Libby. Also, being the emotional person she is, Sonya may have great difficulty separating herself from a child that grew inside her once it's born. And Toadie will have to be there to pick up the pieces after all that.

And now Steph's mental health is stable, what's stopping her and Mark from waiting a little longer and adopting? Even with Steph's shaky child safeguarding past, Mark's credentials as a super-duper cop would be sure to win the authorities over!

Have I missed something? Is there a reason Karl is divulging patient information to Paige all the time? Paige is only poking her nose in because she doesn't want Angelina's condition being blamed on her. I am sick of all the poor Paige storylines.

They slipped in a line from Karl (yesterday I think) where he said Angelina's mother had given him permission to update Paige about Angelina's condition.

I was disappointed we never got a scene between Brad and Angelina...

I was thinking the same thing - there's already plenty of young male characters. There's the 3 Brennan brothers Mark, Aaron and Tyler then you've got Ned, Jack and Ben. Apparently Angus is also returning soon. Including these twins that takes the boys numbers up to 9 which seems a bit excessive.

Girls in that same age group there's only Amy, Elly, Paige, Xanthe and Piper, so 5 girls to the 9 boys. They would have been better off introducing two new twin sisters.

Thanks. I have missed a couple of episodes so would have missed that.

Lol Brad and Angelina.

I'm going to give the twins a chance. I think I may grow to like Dr David, but I'm not sure about Leo - he dresses like a mini Paul, which can't be a good thing, and he has terrible posture which is really distracting.

I did like Aaron's scenes with Terese, but no way was he playing her off against Paul, they were doing that all by themselves due to their dumb feud.

Loved the Susan/Sonya scenes. Great writing, and really nice seeing a genuine character moment. Good to see Susan own her behaviour during the surrogacy, as that was a rather low point for her character.

Paige is not bothering me like she is for some (as usual).

People are saying what you have outlined, but we have Piper/Tyler, Ben/Xanthe, Elly/Ned, Mark/Steph, while Jack is off limits, and Aaron is gay, so they needed two more men to be love interests for Aaron, Amy and Paige. As for Angus, they have something lined up for him...
