I agree about Paige, me,me,me! And I am sick of the Jack/Paige story.

Not going to Doug's funeral was unforgivable - going for a haircut when apparently distraught was worse . I still don't hate Paige though. She's more bearable than she was with her scheming to get Brad and Lauren together.

Sonya is annoying me way more than anyone else. Mark wants a child, Steph doesn't want to get PND but that's ok because Saint Sonya will give them a baby despite it being too soon to consider it and no one even asking her. I know she feels that she must help others but this is a bit much even for her. I'm wondering whether it's being done to drive a wedge between her and Toadie in time for a returnee's arrival.

I also loved that look she gave Jack, knowing that he loves her, but it wasn't in an infatuated way, more of a righteous look, but with a hint of contempt. She certainly isn't chasing him anymore, but Jack is allowing his hýeart to lead his head.

Loved the Gary/Terese scene. He seems to challenge her in a way Paul never could.”

The reason people disliked her is because its all " me me me" with her. She is not really hated as most make out, i think the way she is written is hated. So yea i think this storyline has made her bearable but i think she has along way to go to get people loving her again.

I like Paige a lot more than I did a couple of months after she came to Ramsay Street. She was very selfish not long after she first arrived, but she's been okay for months now though. I quite like the way she's turned out.

Paige is terrible, but so are Elly and Tyler. Interesting that Piper, Xanthe and Ben are far stronger in my opinion.

Catching up on Neighbours. How did Cooper assault Xanthe? Did he rape her? I'm confused That's the trouble with Neighbours sometimes. They don't make things clear for the viewer.

Once upon a time Paige and Tyler were my favourite characters now I'm not bothered if either one leaves.

Cooper's assault didn't go as far as rape. It wasn't made too clear but it was along the lines of he wouldn't let her leave the hotel room they were in and I assume he tried to pin her down on the bed or something but given it's a daytime soap there is only so much they can hint on.

They were doing their film project in one of the Lassiter's rooms and he wouldn't let her leave. It was all secretly filmed on the camera's Amy's ex boss had planted in the rooms.

I actually preferred her when she first arrived. She was selfish but now she's become more so and she's become rather unlikeable.

I think for a lot of people no matter what Paige does now she'll be classed as selfish and unlikeable but I really do see the good parts of her character as well, especially throughout this boxing storyline

She took absolutely no pleasure in the fact that she KO'd a champion boxer in her debut match, even though technically she'd done nothing wrong and had played by the rules and won fair and square. A truly selfish, spiteful person would have just accepted that Angelina had lied about her brain tumour and basically brought the consequences on herself.

Instead Paige has felt constantly guilty and has done everything she physically can, including taking a lot of abuse and threats, just to help Angelina and her family... How is that selfish???

People have brought up the fact she didn't go to Doug's funeral - it wasn't a selfish, couldn't handle the grief reason... She wanted to stay by John Doe's bedside in case he woke up and didn't have anybody there for him - that's not a selfish reason; she was helping a complete stranger who had nobody else; it was an opportunity to channel her grief into something productive as opposed to wallowing in it when the rest of the family had each other to turn to.

Let's also not forget that it would have been harder for her to know how to handle losing Doug and Josh being as she didn't grow up with them in her life - of course she would have missed them and been devastated by their loss but she would obviously feel the impact a lot less than those who spent their entire lives with them... it would be awkward to compare her grief (of having known Josh and Doug for approx two years) with the grief of his parents and siblings and grandchildren who had known them both for so long... I know I would find it hard to be able to position myself and my grief in that situation

So in summary can we cut Paige a bit of slack - she doesn't deserve the constant barrage of criticism and condemnation when there are other characters who fare far worse than her

FYI - I know I may be the only person on this thread who still likes Paige but I think someone has to defend her when all we ever get on here is how unlikeable she is

I have never disliked Paige, but she has had some poor scripts lately. The handling of the JAck story was bad and offended quite a few viewers - like the Tyler/Piper nonsense, which is soon to be inflicted on us again. Scriptwriters seem hellbent on making Paige so unlikeable, which is a shame. Olympia is a good actress and it is a pity her character has been written to be unattractive recently.

#Debateable.

I do understand a lot of your points and even made some of them at the time myself - ie that Paige might find it hard given she was relatively 'new' to the family. She might feel that he grief was not as 'valid' as the others or even she was intruding.

But...grief is hard and you bite the bullet anyway. Her absence from the family was commented on by Piper and Ned was in the same situation as her - part of the family, but having not been involved properly so not really knowing Josh, Imogen, Piper very well and not sure if he was really wanted around.

She was doing no good for John and he wouldn't have been alone - there were Doctors and Nurses and she was only going to be gone a couple of days, she could probably have done it in a day return. I was also always skeptical about her reasons for the bedside vigil as well - she fancied him on first sight, before the explosion and I think that had a lot to do with it - would she have been surgically attachd to him if he'd been a bald, fat 50 year old?

So, I do give her some slack but even with that i still think it wasselfish as it wasabout her feelings rather than her families who frankly, should have taken priority over a complete stranger for that one day.

Angelina - because she takes no delight in what happened she's a good person? Fine, i agree that she did nothing wrong within the rules of boxing and therefore had nothing to feel guilty about so her concern indicates caring. But...I do think hanging round the hospital and around angelina's family was selfish as it was about her needing to feel she was doing all she could rather than their feelings who probably found her presence upsetting. She didn't know Angelina, they did. She should have butted out.

All just my opinion of course

I don't hate Paige - I know why she's the way she is and I've said before that she reminds me of someone I know who is supremely self centred because of her upbringing. She was handed everything on a plate and was never taught that anyone else had needs or feelings. She now thinks she's superior to everyone else and floats through life oblivious to anyone left in her wake. She's truly unlikeable but she doesn't know any better. I think Paige was brought up like that by Mary but at least has some consideration for others now. I didn't like that she made out that Mary was an uncaring, bad parent which turned out to be untrue and I didn't like her sat at the hospital when her Grandad had died. Her family needed her and she was busy gazing at a man and having her hair done (badly thought continuity I know). I think if it had been Lauren as the parent not Brad she would have been there - I don't think she has the same bond with her dad as she does with her mum. In still hoping this Jack thing gets a line drawn under it and she ends up with Tyler as they are much better suited. Tyler and Piper is still vomit inducingly inappropriate. Which man wants a child who has been spiteful and immature after he's been having it away with her sister. Which teenage girl wants a man who's had both of her sisters? It just makes me cringe and I haven't even got a sister so can't even comprehend how rank that is.

The big hair restyling was hilariously bad. So we were led to believe that Paige was so devoted to John Doe's plight that she couldn't possibly leave his side for her own grandfather's funeral (a man that she may not have grown up knowing, but became sufficiently close to for him to offer her his own ring to propose to Mark) - yet a hair appointment was fair game.

Gary and Terese Sounds like he has more go in him than Brad ever did or could have.

Not particularly fussed by the Xanthe/Madison/Ben storyline but I do love it when Neighbours goes on location.

Steph is a fool for getting mixed up with the Jacka stuff.

I liked Paige when she first arrived and was even my favourite character at one point, I thought she was very interesting. Now I just think she is selfish and only ever thinks of herself. The way she chose to sit with a complete stranger over going to her grandads funeral, to me is unforgiveable. She made no effort to get know Ned either.

With regards to Tyler she should have been the grown up and not gone near him, knowing how Piper felt but no she decided to fulfil her own needs without any thought to anyone else. I disagree with others that Paige should be with Tyler, she doesn't feel that way about him and they are better as friends.

I think Jack should stick with the church and the other 3 should either be single or meet someone new rather than getting with each other!

i think some of you are getting a bit confused : 'Paige' is a character created by the scriptwriters , so vent your anger/hatred at them, not the character (who isn't 'real') and as for the person who mentioned Paige 'got a haircut in the middle of keeping a vigil' well thats not 'paiges' fault - its the director/producer who should have not allowed the actress to change her hair - normally actors in soaps are not allowed to make drastic changes to their appearances as it could confuse people - which it obviously has here.

by the way doesn't anyone remember sonia being told she can't have any more kids?? I am pretty sure her and toadie were resigned to the fact that they could not have any more after Nell (little cutie that she is...)

you are discussing things that Paige should or shouldn't have done: this is a soap - neighbours in fact one of the fluffiest of them all. You can't discuss it as if it were 'real life' - perhaps another character could express the thoughts you are having but to say 'she shouldn't have gone near tyler knowing how piper felt' is irrelevant as the stiuation is real. Am i the only one on here who watche neighbours shrugs and says 'yeah right like that would really happen'????

Really? but you know sonia really shouldn't agree to have a baby for mark and steph as she is projecting her neediness to please through them. i really think she should stop waving her arms around when she talks and shaking her head so violently it is in danger of falling off - don't you agree collins1965???
