I just watched it and she did say that they should jump

Piper had a line where she said Paige said a tree had broken her fall.

Brad's "They've crashed." announcement in yesterday's episode was just the most pathetic acting from Kip Gamblin yet. He announced it as though he'd just found out that Piper had handed in her homework late, rather than the fact that the death toll in his family this year may have just risen to 5!

Charming.”

Haven't seen today's - that's bad enough, but I take it she either asked about her family, or Jack reassured her they were alive before they did the deed?

After the pilot said to assume the brace position, Paige said "Should we jump? It could be our best chance!" and Lauren replied "Don't even say that". Then Paige sat down for a few moments before she impulsively stood and bailed out.

Paige actually did a good thing for all her fellow passengers by jettisoning herself out of the basket. The pilot was chucking out the fuel barrels as he said he needed to lower the basket weight to control their descent. So Paige jumping out lowered the weight even further, therefore, maybe it's because of her, the pilot was able to prevent them from having a worse crash?

I can't blame her for her actions in jumping out - it was a fight or flight response from her. She chose flight (ironically in the case of a non-flying balloon!) while the others chose to stay and deal with the situation head-on.

However, as others have said, it's not great that she hasn't told her worried family that she's fine.

Also, I'm not sure sex is the recommended treatment for shock. Perhaps we should all carry out our individual research on that and report back?

Loving Neighbours this week!! I actually thought the balloon crash was done well, a lot better than what I imagined.

I know it's wrong but I love that after the crash the first thing Paige did was have sex with Jack in a shed.. completely forgetting about her family

Yep...cos she's never forgotten about her family before during a time of crisis. No new hair do this time (I don't think) but a face of perfectly applied make up after jumping from a balloon, landing in a damn and having rampant sex with Jack.

Who is going to save Steph if Karl is busy performing brain surgery with a Black and Decker? Georgia is in Germany or Peru or wherever so no nurse either.

But how did she end up in the water? when Paige looked I'm sure I saw a lake or river.

Nonsense, Brad was nowhere near Paige when she landed.

Look, Paige finally got the D from Father Jack. And that is the most important thing. The injured are coincidentals.

No, Paige did suggest jumping and Lauren said No, that they should follow the instructions in the previous scene. I rechecked it yesterday. It's straight after the pilots throw the canisters out to lighten the load.

I've just watched that point in the episode on Dailymotion and Paige doesn't say anything. She doesn't say anything in the episode on Five's site as she gets up either. I don't know what you and the other two are watching but it's not the same as what I've watched.

Edit: Right, just after the fella drops the first canister Paige says: "Okay, jump. It could be our best chance".

I don't mind the sex part (though not with a priest) but i'm not jumping out of a balloon as foreplay!

I don't think we saw her ask about her family onscreen. Jack did mention Piper to her post coitou.

I hate the smug smirk on her face just as Jack took his dog collar off and she realised what was about to happen. Yuck.

She definitely said it when I watched last night (5 On Demand) because I was reading the debate about what she said on here at the same time so I watched out for it.

The characters weren't on screen iirc. It was kind of in voice over as we watched the cannisters falling over the side of the basket.

It wasn't as she got up, it was in the prior scene before she sat down. Check that.

I recorded it on Five's 13.45 showing yesterday.

Yeah, it seems that I was focusing on a later part.

Bit annoyed that Paige got her way and got Jack. It would have been good to have a long term priest. They only made him a priest to create this storyline which is sad really. Neighbours has been due a priest.

Spoiler
I'm now willing to put money on the fact that Paige will be pregnant and find out around Christmas.

& that Piper's parents et al will be okay with her and Tyler starting things up again after she "almost died".

I'm afraid you're right, at least for the second bit.

Have been away so haven't seen Neighbours for about two weeks, but why was bloody Elly on the hen party? Lauren has said she doesn't trust her, and there's bad blood between her and Piper, so why?

BIB - I think the actress has had some sort of laryngitis/pharyngitis in some of her recent scenes.

Totally agree. Paul deserves everything he gets, but when he was awaiting trial for the crime Jacka actually committed, he was tagged up to the eyeballs and pretty much not allowed to leave that one room in the motel without having Mark popping up! Jacka virtually confessed to his part in the manslaughter of two people and just has to pop into the police station twice a day, but is free to go on his crime spree in between visits!

It's Paul's month off.

I've heard Toadie tries to stop the hot air balloon from flying off by randomly jumping in the air to catch it.

Next week's spoilers suggest Brad's tattoo ring will be revisited
Spoiler
Brad collapses with a mystery illness and Lauren blames herself for it, thinking she has caused him to be ill with stress because she hasn't been very enthusiastic about the wedding! Even Lauren thinks he's feeble...

I presume this is leading to his poisoning being revealed in the near future.
