Covering up for Jimmy the Shit, I'm not amused

What's funny is they show Jack being all offended over Paige making light of his faith by dressing as a nun, and everyone agrees she did the wrong thing, out of spite, blah blah.

And then not only does he decide not to be a priest because of her, but he completely abandons any of his beliefs about sex before marriage (hard to believe a Catholic priest would believe otherwise) and sleeps with her just like that. I'm assuming it was unprotected, Paige had just come out of the river and why would he carry anything around with him, so it's immensely stupid.

It was obvious he was going to give up priesthood but I would have liked him to keep his faith, it could have been a good story line, Paige apparently loves him so much but could she deal with a religious fellow? No sex? Marriage talks even after her failure with Mark? But no, straight away sleeping together...

Seriously, I'm supposed to believe Paige leapt from a decent height, bounced through a tree, landed in water, emerged cold -but with nary a scratch- and still had the oomph to get down and dirty with boring old Jack?

They built this whole crash up and it was rather a damp squib.

I'm not religious at all but just for once in fiction it would have been nice for the priest to keep his vows.

And it would have been wonderful for Princess Paige not to get her own way for once.

For me too, that was the oddest thing. No words like "We're over a lake, I'm going to try".


But why a tree at all? Surely landing in the water is better than hitting a tree. People jump into the sea all the time on holiday.


I'm not sure why though. Jimmy is what, 10? He's hardly going to be sent to prison for loosing his drone.

Dunno, today's episode they say she fell in a dam.

I'm more disgusted at him than her. She is a spoiled madam who finally got her own way and didn't understand (or even care about) the religious side to him. He made vows at a young age and chose to become a priest. Then off he goes being tempted, feeling jealous and practically stalking Paige - why was he in her house when he was asked to stay away from her after seeing her boobies? Suddenly the dog collar is off and he's commiting a whole list of sins. for me she's been more tolerable since she meddled with Brad and Terese. I don't hate her at all. Mind I admit that being disgusted at Father Booby Peeper is a bit strong - more like mild tutting than outright outraged.


Not only did she emerge from a dam with a tree in it (!) looking gorgeous she also ended up in hospital with hypothermia complete with a blow dry and fresh lip gloss.

So obvious the Tanaka twins will end up being Paul's sons.

So if or when Amy ends up in bed with one of them, she would have slept with her half brother

The actor who plays Jacka is very poor.

Paige leaping from her "sick" bed to confront him was hilarious.

Aaron is now "Leo who?" He's got his eyes on David, he is so shallow!!

Has he actually confirmed that he'll be giving up the Priesthood? Obviously it was implied and he should leave having broken his vows, but he could still pull a 'Thorn Birds' and declare it a one off abberation.

I completely agree that Jack is just as bad as Paige re humping into bed with her and he has certainly crossed into hanging around her too much over the past couple of weeks, but I still think she's been the worst one overall, simply because she did keep after him, both when he was amnesiac and was saying he couldn't start anything whilst he didn't know who he was and after he remembered he was a Priest and told her that although he loved her, he couldn't be with her. I'll never forget her declaring 'war' on God and dressing out specifically to try and tempt him.

I agree about what could have been an interesting story about how the relationship progressed and how Paige would feel about ut. Liklihood is that even if he did leave the Priesthood, he wouldn't leave the Faith completely so sex before marriage, contraception would all be issues they'd have to deal with. He's probably want to keep helping people in a pastoral capacity - would Paige be happy with that kind of drain on his spare time? I doubt it somehow

Paige can't be that sick judging by today. Maybe her 'exertions' tired her out *facepalm* Also... 'it's hard to do God's work when it feels like everything is getting on top of you'... I can't stop laughing when it's supposed to be serious.

So are Paige and Jack getting it on properly then? Hope not as I fail to see what he sees in her and don't find it a believable storyline at all imo. It's dragging on and on and on and on and going round and round in circles.

Other than the obvious (her very good looks) i also fail to see what he sees in her. I know they say opposites attract but they really do have nothong in common and he has seen how nasty and petty she can be when she doesn't get her own way.

I actually hope that once the lust itch has been properly scratched, he'll wake up and smell the coffee and dump her - not because of his faith (that ship has sailed now) but just because she isn't actually a very nice person.

Hi all. First post. Yay. I wanted to post to say that I have actually enjoyed this storyline with Paige and Jack (think I might be the only one)! Yes what he has done is completely wrong but I have enjoyed seeing him deal with the inner conflict. Just because he is a priest doesn't mean he doesn't have feelings and he justgot caught up in the moment. Personally I think he will choose the church but I reckon Paige will be pregnant from their encounter and lead to a whole new dilemma for them. As for Paige looking so glam think we are all a little jealous ... know I was!
