Really,I could have sworn it went Madge, Max, Tom but could well be wrong. I do remember that Madge was older than Max but only by a year or so as they were close enough in age for them to compete in the same swimming competition when they were kids. There was some silliness about a trophy soon after she arrived.

Is it just me or was it really strange that Paige had such a strong interest in her Grandparents sex life. I would never ever have asked my grandparents such questions.



The Perfect Blend website lists Max as the oldest, being born circa 1940, then Tom being born circa 1941 and Madge being born in 1942. All different orders it seems!

I suspect they might have changed it over the years, especially once Max left very suddenly and Tom was brought in as virtually a carbon copy to take up his scripts just as they began to soften up Madge with Charlene, Harold and Henry arriving. They also made her more common and a Ramsay whereas she was portrayed as a snob when she arrived, Maxs snobby, older sister who thought she could boss him around.

Paiges interest in her grandparents sexual life was off putting but perhaps not growing up with them around makes the icky factor a little less.

Wasn't the wanting a baby storyline in 2014, hence her not being around during Paul's Cancer last year? And yes, it did start after her 40th which shouldn't have happened until this year with the original age given in 1985.

It could well have changed when Tom arrived. Tom was supposed to the the serious no-nonsense eldest child that wasn't keen on Max. Though I have caught a few continuity issues within a couple of episodes in the early years so it might of depended on who actually wrote the episode.

You're right about that annoying swimming competition trophy. Not to mention the ridiculous storyline where Madge owns half of the Ramsay house until Danny does his sums and works out Max actually owns 51 per cent. Almost as bad as Daphne not forgiving Des and running back to Shane. Didn't like the '86 version of Daphne.

ah the 1985 years! I was barely even 2 when they were made but having watched most of 1985 episodes as an Adult I do not think that the present producers could go far wrong if they used that year as an inspiration to freshen up the show a little!! 1985 Eps get a lot of bad press, especially as the golden age after is considered best but I personally find the earlier stuff so much better!

Yes Mal was 17 and Libby 16 when the Kennedy's arrived making Mal's DOB 1977 and Libby's 1978.

Karl and Susan's first wedding was always established as having took place in 1974. On their 1994 arrival in was mentioned they'd been married 20 years, during their 2004 divorce battle their 30th wedding anniversary occurred. It was mentioned several times that they met and married while in their first year of university when Karl and 19 and Susan was 18. When Susan lost her memory she thought she was 16 and the year was 1972 so her 18th when she married would have been two years later. So all evidence points to their wedding taking place in 1974 meaning they've been together now on and off for 42 years.

Surely 1985 can only be one year!

Well that was seriously cringeworthy . Poor little Fungus has no money for a music video despite his mum paying for music college and his Dad having enough to pay for boarding school in Switzerland. That's ok because mega brilliant Piper will be a tech genius and film one for him. With an iPad . I wish they'd make up their minds up whether she's old enough for an adult relationship or is a child making videos in the garden with her friends.
