I actually thought a witness protection thing could be the only plausible reason she could give. But then I can't remember much about Dee, or even what she did for work,so not sure how likely that could be. I don't think they would do another amnesia lost at sea story line after Harold.

Dee was a nurse - there was nothing dodgy or shady about her - no reason for her to go into witness protection that I can think of. Unless when she was swept out to sea, she was rescued by a pirate ship - only for there to be a brutal murder carried out on board which she witnessed - thus was rushed straight into witness protection.

It's possible she was brainwashed by whoever rescued her. Or she was kidnapped and developped stockholm sydrome.

I think
Spoiler
Tyler is also in the car when Piper speeds off. You can see someone in the driver's seat with darker shade of brown hair than Piper and looking like he has Tyler's bun.

It would be quite a while ago though for Tyler to be the father, like 4 months, she would start showing a bit by now.

I hope Paige's baby is Tyler's and not creepy Father Jack's that guy makes my skin crawl. He spends his entire life following Paige around practically stalking her, even just lets himself into her house regularly, yet he talks down to her and rejects her advances. Its like he doesn't want to be with her because of his commitment to the church but enjoys leading her on, doesn't want anyone else to have her and gets off on the fact she is devoted to him and he could have her any time he wanted. His behavior is cruel and manipulative.

Exactly. His behaviour has been horrible when she finally said to leave her alone. You never know with Neighbours and pregnancies. There's no way Brad had knocked up Lauren to produce Paige in the first place so fingers crossed. I'm actually going to miss watching today.

We've had this discussion on here before - I thought his age was younger, as you did - so he would be around 21 according to the abuse storyline. But others here have quite rightly pointed out they have chosen to focus on his 'Est. 1991' tattoo and updated his Neighbours bio to put him as being born in 1991. So it looks like they've upped his age.

I really didn't like Lauren's outfit - I preferred Kathy, Paige and Piper's outfits. And her hair up didn't suit her - it made her neck look like it had disappeared. She's a very attractive woman normally - I just think the wardrobe department got it totally wrong.

In Jelly Belly Jay's Alternate Neighbours Universe... I noticed they even had Piper dismissing Terese's feelings when Kathy mentioned something about it might be difficult for Terese being there, and Piper said something along the lines of 'Oh, I'm sure Mum knows what she's letting herself in for' or words to that effect. But then later, we see Terese clearly having reservations about being there.

They've probably already spent a fortune on wedding presents for Brad over the years. Perhaps the banks wouldn't allow them all to take out more loans!

Yes, it was a curious expression. I thought there was a definite 'Haha, I'm pregnant with my baby - no going back now - I've got what I want as usual!'

He really isn't. Looks wise, yes - but I find him over-bearing, controlling, officious and hypocritical. And those are his good points.

Totally agree. Lauren's dress was more like something Sonya or Amber would wear. Something simple, understated and perhaps more fitted would have looked better, with hair partially up.

Well said - totally agree.

Absolutely spot on.

Well, it's been a mixed year for Neighbours - some standout acting from Rebekah Elmaloglou and Mavourney Hazel during the hotel explosion storyline. Those two were fantastic.

Oscar-winning stuff from Kip Gamblin all year, who never fails to deliver...

The show is improving again after a terrible blip in the late summer/early Autumn and the promo for next year looks promising.

Paige should have a bump by now given the last time that she slept with Tyler, the drama will be over whether she keeps the baby, has it adopted or a termination

My theory is that Paige will be pregnant by Father Jack but lie and say it isn't his because she knows how much he wants to stay in his job (or because she really is over him and wants her and the baby to have nothing to do with him). Maybe her feminist attitude leads to her denying he's the father, making it a case of 'It's my body and nothing to do with anyone else'.

Whatever happens you can bet it will be made as complicated as possible by all concerned.

Not necessarily. All pregnancies are different. With one of mine I was 20 weeks and no one could tell. With the others I looked like I'd swallowed a giant bean bag from 16 weeks. Some women don't show at all for ages.

For such a bland couple, Lauren and Brad's wedding was actually quite interesting! Surprised how much emotion Brad actually portrayed as he's never been that emotional about anything. Shame i still don't buy their 'we were always mean't to be together' vows. I did like the realistic reasons given for Lauren's children not attending the wedding. It must be hard for them to accept their Mother marrying a man who not only would they hold partly responsible for their Dad's death but also one that Lauren had secretly always held a torch for when he was alive and paranoid about. Plus he's Brad and he's an irritating man at the best of times.

I loved Tyler and Piper's reunion! My only gripe was how little it featured and how much more in depth i was hoping it'd be. I could have happily sacrificed Ned and Elly's dramas or the boring surrogacy nonsense for more Typer. I'm usually in the minority when popular 'ships' take off so i'm quite enjoying the popularity of one of my favourite relationships in soap taking off. I'm really going to miss the show purely for these two over the Christmas break.

Paige has finally started to be written really well again. He conversation with David about how she was supposed to be married this time last year and how the man she fell in love with was John Doe not Father Jack made perfect sense i just hope they stick to that logic and don't go down the 'baby makes three' happily ever after route. Can't we just kill two birds with one stone over Jack/Paige and the surrogacy and have Mark miraculously have knocked up Paige with one of his many overtalked about samples going awry. Stranger things have happened in Neighbours.

Speaking of Mark, why did he think it was appropriate to propose to his girlfriend at his ex-fiancee's parents wedding? More to the point why did the writers think it was appropriate to have Mark propose to Steph at all? I love that on Neighbours official twitter (not the be all and end all i know) posted a pic of them asking if it was time for Mark to propose it was an overwhelming 'No'! Nice to know i'm not the only person who can't stand them as a couple.

Was Lou and Kathy's remarriage even legal? Other than Susan and some randoms having a picnic a few feet away there was no one there to witness it, so was it more a symbolic gesture without the hassle of the committment or the real thing using artistic license?

I'm going to miss Neighbours and Home and Away over the Christmas break.

Yes it was unofficial, Lauren queried this saying "you're not really married though are you as you don't have a marriage license?" and Lou, Kathy and Susan all agreed, Paige then butted in with a stupid line "I cant believe my grandparents and my parents have got married on the same day" which I thought was a silly thing to say as it was literally just established seconds before that they hadn't got married.

No it wasn't a legal binding contract, they even acknowledged that.
I think they said they'd get married properly in the future, probably back in Erinsborough once Tom Oliver has had his latest break from filming.

Kathy said that the service wasn't legal, just a blessing and they'd get the paperwork to make it legal later. So, officially, they're not married.

Yes, Paige was a little more sympathetic but I still think she brought most of the Jack heartache on herself. She invested far too much in a man she didn't know and who was quite vulnerable due to his amnesia. She was physically attracted to him at first sight and made assumptions about him, his life, his personality, his availability based on water she wanted them to be. She was warned by many, including John himself, that starting a relationship with a an who did not know who he was, and felt something was holding him back, was a very bad idea. But she knew best and wouldn't let it go, even after he remembered he was a Priest.

No matter what Jack has done wrong in recent weeks, it is not his fault that Paige built him up to be something he isn't in her own mind and then wouldn't give up on it for months

Lauren and Brad did actually discuss if Lou and Kathy were legally married with them when they took off in the camper; Lou and Kathy said that they'd have to sort the legal stuff - including the marriage license - later. So they are not legally married but are planning to sort that out in the future (and I bet off screen).

I agree Brad and Lauren's vows were disrespectful to their previous spouses and any children they had with them. I'm surprised Ned just stood there grinning as his father said that he knew he was always supposed to be with a woman who had been his mother's best friend before she started sleeping with his father.

There are women who still get their period while pregnant. It does not happen often, but people may not assume they are pregnant when they have their period.

The test done by the doctor to confirm everything so you get to see the midwife etc. came back negative. I was told I definitely wasn't pregnant and it was erratic periods. Some women have periods all the way through. Some swear they didn't know they were pregnant because nothing changed physically. Women's bodies can be weird things

My friend didn't know until around 20 weeks because she was still getting what she thought were periods. It happens.

I definitely don't want the baby to be Father Jack's, he's really quite insufferable, leads Paige on, drops her yet doesn't want anyone else to have her. Just go away.

You're right. When I went into labour with my first I wore a fitted winter coat to the hospital and every button buttoned and not one gaped.

A woman's size is more to do with the amount of amniotic fluid she is carrying than the baby itself.
