Yep.

Two good reasons to stop watching Neighbours for the foreseeable future.

Well said, totally agree.

LOL!

Tyler suffered from SORAS, in that during the storyline where his father was abusing him, it was mentioned that the abuse happened 6 years previously and that his father was hitting a 13 year old boy, suggesting that Tyler was 19 going on 20. However, in more recent months, they decided to put it on the Neighbours profile that he is the same age as the actor who plays him, i.e. 24. Personally, with his connection to Piper, I think they should have kept him as 19 going on 20, although he clearly looks older (as does Ned).

Mark has the whole 'guilty until proven innocence' approach to policing down to a tee.

Paul being found guilty was a joke. Based on a false testimony? Although deleting CCTV is a massive implication of guilt. It should have been a mistrial.
Xanthe is once again showing what a brat she is by pretending to auction for charity. I highly doubt anyone would wanna buy any of that tat she was selling. Surprised she didn't try to sell Julie Quill's white blazer, that certainly is a vintage classic.
Piper and Tyler getting closer and closer. It has definitely been a slow burner but again, that bucks the trend of all the other relationships on Neighbours and makes it even more genuine. Of course, I always knew it was a matter of time. Despite being accused of watching a different show by certain users over the months it would appear that I am just far more intuitive than I'm given credit for. Once again, they have better chemistry than any other couples on the show and the producers clearly want to work with that. It looks like the Tyler and Ned go out on the pull for a couple of bimbos story line may have to wait a while...”

Out of the 4 current teens, the two girls are more palatable for different reasons. I like MH's capable portrayal of Piper and her natural acting style. Piper can be likeable and hot-headed/misguided in equal measures, like many girls of her age. I feel a little sorry for her at the moment - having been abandoned in Canada for at least 2 years, since the age of 13/14 (as you do), she came back to be with her family as her parents were splitting up. Now, in only a few months, her brother's dead, her sister's left, her mum's in a 'retreat' having just been charged with perjury and her dad's a spineless loser. She's now rattling around her family home all on her own (how many people would leave their 16 year old alone in the house indefinitely?). I don't count B*** living across the road as an effective solution as he's a feeble, head-tilting, arm-swinging oxygen thief.
Xanthe has an appealing vulnerability about her now we know more of her history. Although I do hold her mostly responsible for the current theft storyline. Again, she's more watchable than Ben and Angus, who are both just dreadful viewing.
SummerShudder, have you considered starting a Piper/MH appreciation thread? You may find more like-minded people will join you there, as most of us on this thread tend to comment on the positives and negatives of all the characters, depending on their actions.
I can't begin to express how much I hate Neighbours right now. Very disappointed in Aaron for enabling the teen thieves. For once, I actually hope him, Xanthe, Ben, Piper and Angus have Mark on their case. Even Susan was almost lost for words when Ben spouted out his petulant rant about keeping Mark's suit and lying about using the donations for charity.
The Paul storyline is woeful. As is the John Doe storyline. And Permafrown Sonya, with Eve Morey's usual stuttering apoplexy acting-style is not welcome for me right now (although I love the work she does with the little one playing Nell).
Really on the point of throwing in the towel for a while. I can't fathom what's gone wrong in the past 6 months or so. Steph and Amy are my saving graces right now.
