If I have read what others have then it is mentioned in the comments section on the Neighbours Facebook page. Someone said there had been a spoiler picture in one of the Australian TV magazines I believe.

Two good reasons to stop watching Neighbours for the foreseeable future.

Well said, totally agree.

Tyler suffered from SORAS, in that during the storyline where his father was abusing him, it was mentioned that the abuse happened 6 years previously and that his father was hitting a 13 year old boy, suggesting that Tyler was 19 going on 20. However, in more recent months, they decided to put it on the Neighbours profile that he is the same age as the actor who plays him, i.e. 24. Personally, with his connection to Piper, I think they should have kept him as 19 going on 20, although he clearly looks older (as does Ned).

Mark has the whole 'guilty until proven innocence' approach to policing down to a tee.

Paul being found guilty was a joke. Based on a false testimony? Although deleting CCTV is a massive implication of guilt. It should have been a mistrial.

Xanthe is once again showing what a brat she is by pretending to auction for charity. I highly doubt anyone would wanna buy any of that tat she was selling. Surprised she didn't try to sell Julie Quill's white blazer, that certainly is a vintage classic.

Piper and Tyler getting closer and closer. It has definitely been a slow burner but again, that bucks the trend of all the other relationships on Neighbours and makes it even more genuine. Of course, I always knew it was a matter of time. Despite being accused of watching a different show by certain users over the months it would appear that I am just far more intuitive than I'm given credit for. Once again, they have better chemistry than any other couples on the show and the producers clearly want to work with that. It looks like the Tyler and Ned go out on the pull for a couple of bimbos story line may have to wait a while...”

Out of the 4 current teens, the two girls are more palatable for different reasons. I like MH's capable portrayal of Piper and her natural acting style. Piper can be likeable and hot-headed/misguided in equal measures, like many girls of her age. I feel a little sorry for her at the moment - having been abandoned in Canada for at least 2 years, since the age of 13/14 (as you do), she came back to be with her family as her parents were splitting up. Now, in only a few months, her brother's dead, her sister's left, her mum's in a 'retreat' having just been charged with perjury and her dad's a spineless loser. She's now rattling around her family home all on her own (how many people would leave their 16 year old alone in the house indefinitely?). I don't count B*** living across the road as an effective solution as he's a feeble, head-tilting, arm-swinging oxygen thief.

Xanthe has an appealing vulnerability about her now we know more of her history. Although I do hold her mostly responsible for the current theft storyline. Again, she's more watchable than Ben and Angus, who are both just dreadful viewing.

SummerShudder, have you considered starting a Piper/MH appreciation thread? You may find more like-minded people will join you there, as most of us on this thread tend to comment on the positives and negatives of all the characters, depending on their actions.

I can't begin to express how much I hate Neighbours right now. Very disappointed in Aaron for enabling the teen thieves. For once, I actually hope him, Xanthe, Ben, Piper and Angus have Mark on their case. Even Susan was almost lost for words when Ben spouted out his petulant rant about keeping Mark's suit and lying about using the donations for charity.

The Paul storyline is woeful. As is the John Doe storyline. And Permafrown Sonya, with Eve Morey's usual stuttering apoplexy acting-style is not welcome for me right now (although I love the work she does with the little one playing Nell).

Really on the point of throwing in the towel for a while. I can't fathom what's gone wrong in the past 6 months or so. Steph and Amy are my saving graces right now.

I seriously think Paige gets more unwatchable every episode. I can't believe she was a huge favourite of mine when she first arrived now.

I think we can all guess how the storyline with Sonya's sister will pan out. I am guessing she won't be a match but either Callum or Nell will be. Then we can have the whole Sonya and Toadie at loggerheads whether they can let them donate or not. Neighbours moralistic storylines at their finest. That is my theory anway. I do hope Walter is going to be a semi regular at least. I like the character, he kind of reminds me of Jim Robinson.

And me. No time to hunt through Facebook and I'm miles behind as it is seeing as I can't be bothered to watch at the moment. There's just nothing appealing about it and there's also loads of football to be watching instead

Maybe they've realised how dull that prospect would be now the storyline is playing out. It's very difficult to care about the true identity of a character we never knew in the first place! Paige's situation when she first arrived was more interesting as the audience knew her secret and viewed her interactions with other characters with that in mind. I find it hard to believe that John Doe is a regular character - I care so little about him and his top lip.

Same. At first she was all eager to help John out but now she just expects him to not bother figuring out who he is so he can be with her. As another poster said if he was a middle aged fat man she wouldn't have been glued to his bedside in the first place.

I don't see how can John can be responsible for the explosion. He'd hardly be walking towards Lassiters and then risk being caught up in the explosion himself if he sabotaged the boiler! Doesn't make sense?!

A lot of things in Neighbours don't make sense at the moment. There was equally little reason for the finger to be pointed at some of the other 'suspects' (esp Ned)

As another poster said, it's difficult to care much about who John is. Originally the story was going to be revealed at the end of the season (i.e. Christmas) but they've obviously realised that , as many viewers are already suffering terminal boredom, they'd better get on with it.

The Lassiter's whodunnit has also been unconvincingly spun out for far too long. Obviously Paul did not do it so of course he'll get out of Jail and probably get Lassiter's back. He's been in and out of Lassiter's like a fiddler's elbow! But I hope in future when he's plotting to stitch somebody up, he will remember this episode and learn from it. And pigs might fly! (That's not a dig at original poster but it seems the most pay comment on the idea that Paul will ever learn from his mistakes!)

From what we know, Piper wanted to go to Canada, she was not abandoned there! And since she has shown herself to be defiant of her parents on more than one occasion, I expect they gave in. Many people thought that Piper was originally meant to be older ( a 3-year student exchange half-way across the world for a 12-year-old seems a little unlikely!) but scriptwriters ignored logic and made her younger to fill gaps shortly to be left by the mass exodus of young characters. But leaving a 16-year-old alone in the house as Therese has done, even though she needed to get away, seems irresponsible. Surely Drab would have stepped in?

Yes, Xanthe is mostly responsible for the theft but Piper showed no compunction about accepting an expensive laptop and so far has not offered to help raise the money, apart from taking photos. Ben should have shown more backbone, but he's a jellyfish - he has none! Angus is a tea-leaf but no worse than the others. And I agree that for once PC Plod Mark should be on their case. Aaron should be ashamed of himself - btw is Xanthe his only client? Business must be booming!

Agree with BIB about Paul, John Doe and stuttering Sonya. Much of the writing lately has been woeful , especially the attempts to interest us in John Doe and whodunnit!

Won't be throwing in the towel just year (as a non-footie fan I have to have SOMETHING to watch over the next how many weeks!) but I can see the temptation!

Oh, I realise Piper was on an exchange programme, but what responsible parent would allow their 13 year old to go and live in another country with another family for over 2 years?! Might as well have put her up for adoption! Terese's mumblings of Piper being independent and free-spirited, or whatever, don't cut it with me. You gave birth to her - be the parent!

I agree with all your points about the other teens' involvement in the theft. I don't buy the excuses made for Piper by either the characters on the show, or other posters here. Accepting the laptop from Ben without questioning its origins was wrong. Xanthe started the whole thing off by engineering the theft, which is why I hold her mainly responsible, but none of the others have acted morally either. All of them are products of today's instant gratification way of life. I wonder if anyone has ever tried to set up an 'Instant Gratification' religion - it would have an enormous following!

Is Aaron actually getting paid to be Xanthe's manager? And if so, how? Can't imagining that's paying his bills!

Totally agree about the woeful writing of late. Has there been a change of leadership behind the scenes to account for the drop in quality this year? I'm a few episodes behind, but will no doubt tune in again for now. Hopefully things will improved if John Doe's identity and the explosion culprit are revealed, as they're the main things dragging the show down right now. I feel your pain about the football fever!

BIB- I always thought that Piper was meant to be the Big Sis from the earlier days of the Willis family, I don't know, I guess that's just the impression they'd given. It is highly bizarre that a young child would go on an exchange program for anything more than a week or two! Of course, her being older wouldn't have worked with the timelines for Ned and Paige and would have left Brad fathering three kids with three women at about the same time. Maybe they realised that and anti-SORAS'd her.

Where on god's green earth do Neighbours dredge their guest cast up from? Did that Asian lady who spoke to Paige and John just get plucked off the street? She was on screen for all of two minutes but I was literally climbing the sofa every second she was there!
