Was it not that he smacked Tom Quill and left him then didn't tell anyone he thought Tom was dead?

I thought this too, as well as the bribery storyline, which ended up with Aaron submitting a false report to the council and getting fired. Both incidents were connected, so I thought that was it for Aaron and his 'dark' storyline.

Not happy with Aaron's involvement with the teens' theft. For once, I hope Mark gives him and them one of his infamous righteous rants.

Neighbours used to be soooooo funny, that was the reason for it's HUGE success back in the 80's - it was half sitcom. Just watch this episode as proof starring bonkers Eileen Clarke:

Fast forward 30 years and it's just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............

It's had its funny moments recently-ish, what with Bossy the underwear thief etc! I do feel it's lost a bit of the comedy now though. It's just people frowning at each other.

Other way round for me. I found Neighbours dreadfully boring in the 80s, and that video hasn't changed my mind. I much prefer it now. It's not perfect, but no soap is.

I think the 'dark' storyline has been and gone - blink and you missed it! Just like Piper being in 'terrible danger' when Brodie walked into the garden - Neighbours exaggeration!

Piper and Tyler

Well what can be said that isn't being played out on screen? Not a lot really. I Doubt I need to provide any of my expert insight.

I have noticed there aren't so many sarcastic comments directed towards me on this forum lately. Funny that, either certain posters have their tails firmly between their legs or they have finally found the correct button on their remote and have started watching the same show as I have

Some choice quotes to be dissected:

"Tyler is into school girls"

No he isn't, he is into Piper Willis. What other school girls has he dated? It's called having a connection with somebody. But yes, perhaps he should just ignore that and hook up with Madison/Courtney/Cassandra/Tiffany or whatever other bimbo you can think of who he wouldn't have said connection with.

"Piper's vlogging sucks"

Um, the same vlog that has helped raise awareness to alzheimers, helped raise awareness to Paul's plight, helped eliminate Ned as a suspect in the explosion and so on and so forth.

"I hate Piper's tie dye t shirt"

It's called style. It certainly beats Xanthe walking around bare foot all day demonstrating the "white trash" look. Mind you, she is a Canning. Or Angus with the "I get dressed by my mum" look.

Peace out! #Typer

Think Typer is destined to be a long drawn out think until her 18th birthday, something they'll keep coming back to but not quite going all the way with until then

I think that Chinese looking woman is lying about John not tampering with the boiler, or not being anywhere near it. I suppose the truth will be revealed sometime in a future episode. I find it strange that them prisoners were frightened of Gary Canning. Unless he has a VERY bad temper and is friendly with the tough nuts in there. I think it's pretty obvious that Tyler and Piper will end up getting together judging by how paranoid Tyler is when he thinks he's getting too touchy feely with Piper, what with him making it clear to her that they had to just be friends.

What retreat did Terese go to that seems to have worked such a miracle cure in a couple of days? Was it the 'Helen Daniels Retreat of Worldy, Moralistic Wisdom?' The forgiveness she displayed talking to Brad over Ned seems a complete character change.

Also, what kind of relationship do Brad and Lauren have? It seems completely devoid of any love or passion; they never seem to touch or even cuddle each other - are they even having sex?

It seems completely strange considering Brad left his family for this. Without a doubt Tyler and Piper are the only Ramsey Street couple with any chemistry in their relationship. Even if she is does have to fit him in between her vlogging and homework..

Agree with everything you said! Cant believe they have made Terese suddenly have a change of heart and personality regarding Lauren and telling her 'still husband' that he should focus on his relationship with Lauren and she loves him so much blah blah blah. Come on Neighbours!! In what universe would this EVER EVER happen?? Its bad enough she has to co-exist on the same street as her cheating husband and home wrecking 'friend' Lauren but to have us believe she would give Brad relationship advise to save what he and Lauren has?? Bull!! Keep the characters true in their beliefs, their hurt and their emotions- dont just turn a character in to some happy forgiving saint because you feel like it. This really annoys me and is an insult to viewers that invest in these characters

And yes as it happens Brad and Lauren have zero chemistry and are just not believable as a couple and although I think she is better off without the scumbag, Terese and Brad did have better chemistry together.

I don't understand why Neighbours is so bad at casting kids, but they really are. Who cares about bratty Jimmy acting out? With his end-of-the-world tone of voice and severe, emotionless face, the kid is seriously terrifying. Charlie is an absolute shocker of an actor as well, and Angus is just such a phenomenally smug git, you cannot possibly feel sorry for him. The brats have taken over Ramsay Street and I am close to switching off for a bit.

Just what I was thinking as I watched today's episode. Obviously we are meant to 'understand' Jimmy nicking pepper spray from the police station and spraying his mate with it, and whatever he does tomorrow, because his 'g-dad' is in prison. (and every time he says 'g-dad' I cringe!) Steph and Amy heading for a bust-up over it!

Charlie has mysteriously come back for a long stay - they obviously want to train up a few pre-teens, but do we really need them? Brats have taken over, as you say - please god we don't return to the Susan Bowyer days .
Neighbours used to appeal to kids, but I don't know that it does any more. The 12-16 year-olds I teach watch EE and HO but I have never heard them mention Neighbours. And I doubt if anybody on this thread is under 21!

Perhaps tptb should take note and concentrate the story lines on the older actors.

Two things have annoyed me abut Piper in the past couple episodes. First she was raving on her vlog about weird inappropriate hook ups when she's crushing on Tyler who is 8 years older then her and then she said Ned was lame for running away which is exactly what she and Ben did after the school fire. Hypocritical much???

Eh, I think that's easy to write off as her just being a kid. She's sixteen, most sixteen year olds aren't really that self aware to realise they're being hypocrites - her and Tyler are different because it's "real" or something, whereas she sees Ned's thing for Lauren as just a mistake.

I blame Tyler in the whole Piper situation. Looking back to when I was 16 I can't say I would have rejected a guy like him. I thought I was mature and adult and all that (I really wasn't). I'm Tyler's age now and I honestly cannot imagine seeing a sixteen year old. Kids who are 16 now are the kids I used to babysit as a teenager. I can't imagine falling for someone that young, but I guess Tyler has, but as an adult it's his responsibility to shut it down. He keeps doing the "oh we shouldn't" thing but not actually doing anything about it, he keeps going back for more.

Bit of a fail by Super Doc Karl Kennedy today, standing over an obviously badly beaten up Paul and saying that he didn't understand how he choked on his food!

He's old enough to know better though, he did the whole "hypothetically confessing his feelings" thing in their video call which is not just being a support. If he can't control himself he needs to cut contact.

Piper also showed hypocrisy when she expressed indignation that Angus stole the money - that `Ben had stolen in the first place, and from which she benefited to the tune of a very expensive laptop. `DOn't notice her trying to help her mates raise the money though!

Talking of that , the band is dire!

And Tyler should know better - but he is immature and seems to have no friends of his own age. He should knock this on the head - it won't go anywhere, unless tptb have marriage and babies in mind!

And, let's face it, if they are trying to appeal to young viewers that aren't setting them a very good example, with the theft storyline!

No no, you've got it all wrong. I am sure you will find that was just Piper being really deep and cultured and mature and stuff.

Also when the MAN Tyler and the CHILD Piper get together she can sit home and vlog while he goes out to play with his remote controlled car.
