If he is i am guessing it will be saved for the finale. This is when we really learn who he is. I think.

Aha I knew it! Guessed Julie Quill was behind it all along, think I missed my calling, should have been a detective

First time posting on this thread... become a huge neighbours fan the past year after not watching it for years. I really did not see the John doe twist coming!

I also thought from the beginning that Julie quill and that motorbike guy had something to do with the explosion

I mentioned it as my theory in this thread straight after the explosion but nobody else seemed to think it at the time.
Really happy yo have been proved right.

I do have to admit i did laugh when John Doe revealed who he really was. I was expecting it to be something like him being another secret child of Laurens or something. I take it that will be the reason he has come to Erinsborough as well. Both Neighbours and Home & Away have been great lately.

SO JD is a sky pilot! Shades of The Thorn Birds?

Now that the brats have confessed, hope Ben admits what he did with the money!

Okay, didn't see him being a priest coming. Does explain why he was so reticent about getting involved with Paige though.

I think most people speculated that Julie was behind it as a way of setting Paul up and disposing of the threat of Robinsons with the added bonus of insurance money and that even if she hadn't organised the explosion, she was taking advantage of it to frame Paul once it had happened. In fact i think everybody has been positive about the second part for weeks.

There is still a lot that hasn't been explained though. Who was Jacko talking to when he reported Paul's sentencing because Julie was in Court so already knew. What was Jack's involvement prior to the explosion? Had Julie or Jacko confessed they were planning something and he was trying to stop it? Is there yet another connection re his being related to Julie?

Oh yes, what a blessed relief to have a parent, any parent in Soap, state that their job re looking after their child was to teach them the difference between right and wrong and that is why he was taking them to the Police.

High Five for Gary Canning - now go and explain that to everybody in EE please.

John turning out to be a priest is interesting, there hasnt been a priest character for a very long time. I think Rosie was the last one about 14 years ago!

It is a shame him calling the priest a couple of days ago didnt provide anymore information but it will be interesting to see where they go now with the character.

Does anyone else cringe every time Jimmy calls Paul "G-dad"? It's not cute, it's not cool. It's..... lame.

It is on a par with when MickeytheShit used to call Lou "Pops"

I'm very glad the storyline has moved on. I had guessed that Julie was behind the explosion, I think most people had, but the John reveal had never even occurred to me. I also laughed when he walked out in his dog collar, excellent twist though.

Possibly a controversial view, but Angus is growing on me. I actually found I felt sorry for him yesterday. If he could work on the accent he'd have potential to be a decent character

it does all seem to have come to a head a bit quickly, even the dramatic back drop seems to have come from no where. Glad they didnt make John, Pagies twin as some of the discussion ive seen suggested. Him being a priest, well its hardly something he is tied to, he is no longer who he was, so no reason he has to go back to it, certainly not at once.

I agree about Angus, sure he has been a jerk but he has been to lied to just about everyone for a long time now, the only person who was honest (prior to Xanthe) was his Dad, who was honest in that he didnt want him. Garry and Xanthe is good, hopefully we see more of him at least trying his best, before he falls back in trouble.

So St. Paige is no doubt going to defrock the priest with her Paigely charms. Didn't they say John Doe/Jack would be connected to an existing character when he was first announced? Or has that been forgotten now?

Dastardly Julie Quill would have got away with it had it not been for those pesky kids! I think a good proportion of viewers had guessed from the start she was behind it. I am guessing this will see the Lassiters Group buying back the hotel and Paul regaining control. Julie is going to need every penny for legal fees. Knowing Paul he will go after everyone for compensation and be able to buy the hotel back. Does Paul's innocence being proved now mean he will get Steph's bail money back? I hope he remembers that Steph stood by him despite how he had treated her in the past.

Had to laugh at Paige's "WTF, now is not the time for dress up!" expression when she saw John/Jack dressed as a vicar!

I find it funny how in soaps vicars always are wearing their collar, nobody else is in uniform all the time so why are they?

I was wondering why, if John Doe was innocent, that woman was paid to give him a false alibi. What you said makes sense. If Julie knows he is her son, then she would want to deflect any police attention on him.

So John is Father Jack Callaghan then?

If he is a Priest then he must be Catholic which is going to make any physical relationship with Paige virtually impossible.

Okay, so quite a few of us on here should have been detectives then

But at least they surprised us all with the priest shocker.

All we need now,is for Piper to be told, preferably by her parents, that she should not have accepted an expensive laptop, especially when she found out how it was paid for.

Did you clock the 'little girl' outfit today? She'll be wearing frilly knickers a la Shirley Temple next! One minute it's school uniform and pigtails, the next it's mascara and lipstick!

I give it 2 months before he quits the priesthood so he can be with Paige.

BIB 1 they did indeed say that. Is he somehow connected to Julie Quill?

BIB2 Wonder how long it will take Paul to go back to his scumbag ways? There is also the small matter of the $20000 he owes Doug's estate, as well as what he owes Steph, morally as well as financially.

I found it weird that Mark suddenly started considering other suspects/evidence. He wasn't remotely interested in other theories when he was hell bent on jailing Paul Robinson. Character U-turn!

School uniform and pigtails then caked in slap when seeing Tyler. The whole thing is distasteful and I can see a secret relationship ahead until he realises that she's a child and not ready for an adult relationship. Is he prepared to keep it in his pants for years? It reminds me of Rebekah's character Sophie in Home and Away having a secret relationship with an adult and falling pregnant. Maybe they'll have Piper vlogging about breast feeding and stretch marks next year in a deep way.
